Consumer Review - Samsung Oven Sliding Rack - NX58F5700WS 

Probably the biggest reason for posting this video was because of the difficulty my mother had getting Samsung to address the issue, which she spent a lot of time doing. She purchased this stove because it had a lot of other features which she found appealing. Perhaps it was only her stove which was defective, although it seemed to be more of an engineering issue - the sidewalls, which support the sliding rack, are made out of a thin gauge steel which flexes when put under weight. If Samsung's bureaucracy of an organization had been willing to address the issue directly, instead of repeatedly transferring my mother's calls and putting her on hold with no resolution at the end of it, this video never would have been made. For those of you who have this stove and are happy with it, I congratulate you on your good fortune.

I saw the following instructions from Samsung regarding one of their wall ovens: "Note: Do not install the Gliding rack directly above the Flat Rack. The rack could fall." I cannot tell from your video if this was your issue. Seems like a strange design issue. I wonder if the flat racks stretch out the walls too much.

Also, I used that rack for a 16 lb turkey without issue. Perhaps your rack is defective.

Great video! and thank you for posting. A few questions I have.. 1. Does the manual state it's 25lbs for the center gliding rack? 2. Were you able to test the weight on the other "standard" racks?

You have an issue with the rack yet the whole oven is a turkey? I've been reading reviews all over the place and can't find much wrong with it otherwise.

I was looking at this oven and seeing this video and how their customer service is I maybe looking elsewhere now.

I love my Samsung, exactly the one you have. I realize what the manual says, but I think it's unreasonable to damn the oven because of that rack. Don't use it if you don't like it.
