This is a second film on Linemen for power companies and their safety. we don't get films like this very often. Quite a drama on the second half of the video.
I love these old school videos.. it was definitely an art form that has since been drastically altered. Funny how proper and proud people seemed to be back then..
Another good video. That looked like some old-school artificial respiration that man was doing on that other man. I remember reading about it in our 1951 World Book when I was a kid. I used to work as an apartment building superintendent but I didn't mess with the electrical repairs. Not in a building that was constructed in 1923, especially after getting a good look at some of those wires.
Old homes built before the 1980s had no labelling or colour coding for electrical wires, so you could not tell which is what when doing maintenance work.
I love these old videos! Safety man should not have taken the formans attention away from the job at task. We always come down when the safety guy comes so we can answer questions and not have men working without someone watching them. I know this is a mock up by the way just pointing that out
