This is the video that inspired me and my sister to buy a contact ball and now seven months later we are full-fledged circus freaks! Her name is also J Andrews and her nickname has always been "Bean" so we took this video as a clear sign from God that we are meant to be cj-ers and now we are! thank you so much for inspiring us!
I just wanted to say that this was the first CJ video I saw, and now that I have gone and watched others, this one is definitely my favorite. So awesome...
This is amazing. So fluid and smooth. Very addicting to watch, although I preferred when he was only using one orb since he did more with it than when he was using two. Still... really really cool. Great choice of music too.
Wonderful song selection. Black+White was also a wonderful choice. Great contact juggling... made me wanna pick up a ball and give it a shot. MORE VIDS PLEASE!
This is one of the most beautiful clips on all of RU-vid, to me, and that's no exaggeration. It's not just the skill on display, which is tremendous, but the whole package. It's the music, and what's going on in the background. It's the atmosphere of the piece, and the performer's expressions. In my opinion, this is the best contact juggler performance on the web. It's so, so beautiful. The inventor of the technique is Michael Moschen, who received a MacArthur Genius grant for it.
Ever since I discovered this very video (first time I had ever seen contact juggling) like a year ago, I have seen many of them on youtube, and I STILL have not found one that is better than this video. This is the bets one on RU-vid.
Beautiful! Wonderful! Thank you so much~ I have been messing with these for two weeks and I am amazed at how much it has changed the way I think. Lovely video. Please keep posting. Favorite!
Last time I watched this video was over a year ago when I started Contact Juggling. While most of the things he does are fairly basic, I love his style, it's so technical and elegant. It's pleasing to watch.
Contact juggling > fushigi. For those who don't know, fushigi ball is a cheap imitation of contact juggling, re-branded to be 'consumer friendly'; contact juggling is the real deal, and uses high-quality acrylic crystal balls.
When i was in turkey 1 time with my family then i met a guy who could trick with this ball. He gaved me 1 of these balls and told me to train every day on it. He sad he had train in 3 years 20 min a day so he was very good at it. This is 1 of the coolest things i know
I love what you did in this video. I have always been a fan of contact juggling and wish that I could do it. I can do a few basic moves but that's it. But your video putting it in black and white just makes it look that much cooler. And Royksopp playing in the background brings me in even more.
good to see new talent. thiws guy is very smooth and stylish. i am a avid juggler and know the time it takesd to juggle. contact juggling is much harder and takes tremendous focus. props for all the hard work!
At 2:10 that is amazing. Doing one thing with both hands is nice, but isolating with one hand while doing something different with another is great. Good job.
Yes, he is incredibly good. Even though he doesn't do many moves, it isn't always the variety that matters most. His performance as a whole, the video editing, the song that it is set to, and his mastery of the moves he does do, make it an amazing video.
Found this video on my hard after several years... still impressed about the skill. And I do f*****ing love the music! Fits perfectly together. would like to have in HD... ;D
wow! blast from the past! I used to do this years ago in a mall. Ju-ju Beans my man, you are very good at this. I really love those floating palm circles, I could never get them that smooth. beautiful baby, keep on rolling! makes me want to get out my old acrylic balls again. to those of you who think this is fake: your ignorance is a great compliment to the performer. this sort of juggling is intended to look fake or surreal. it is as much illusion as juggling. it's real. real hard!
Very nice. Music went well with it too. I've been thinking about learning contact juggling, but I don't think I will because I won't look at it the same way again. Once again, great job.
Lol, well im dyslexic and i have no hand and eye cowardination. However over the past year I have got really into circus skills and after taking up Devil sticks, toss juggling, poi,and most recently contact juggling, and spending countless hours of both frustrating and enjoyable practice I can say that it doesnt matter how bad you are before you start at the basic skills. Anyone can learn this stuff. It just takes a lot of time, practice and determination
Anything generally smooth will work. An orange is good to start out with for learning, cheap and about the right size. Often lacrosse balls are used as well, and once you get good enough to trust yourself to not drop it, move to glass or crystal for the best effect. When actually performing, as few markings as possible is usually desired.
In the movie Labyrinth, David Bowie did none of his own contact juggling. I met the dude who did it for him. On a relevant note, this is totally sweet.
I've wanted to try my hand, or hands, rather, at contact juggling ever since I saw Jareth do it in The Labyrinth ^_^ It's so mesmerizing. Great video, and the music is very fitting.
This stuff is amazing mostly because the incredible amount that they have to use both hemispheres of their brain to be rolling the in one palm while switching the other to either side of your other hand.
veryyyy veryyy good...a lot of hard work has gone in to this and I am very appresiative for it as I have been able tio learn a lot and be mezmorized by your skil!
And yes, my shirt was also blown off. This is my one of my favorite contact videos as well. Amazing body control and good symmetry between hands here. Also, his butterflies and isolations are very smooth.
This guy is very smooth with his motions which is the mark of a good contact juggler. The black and white and even i think the compression artifacts on the video combine to make the whole thing look almost unreal. If it wasnt for my own unskillful but occasionally successful attempts at contact juggling, I too would be wondering if this was fake. Wonderfully done!
I just got one with a beginning contact juggling dvd- don't start out with acrylic!! Freaking heavy if you drop it, and will break things if you're not careful. The 3 " acrylic ones weigh about 275 grams, which is really nice, but I'm getting a dube stage ball for practice.
