This happened to me last week still dealing with it.contacts keep disappeared 😒

BTW it might be a good idea if people start saving their contacts as a vcf file and keep it safe somewhere like on an sd card or your pc or even both lol. Then you can sync all you want but there's a backup.

Hi Jeff, great video! Just a question, in my case (Samsung A50) there wasn’t an account linked on the phone and a backup wasn’t made since 2019. I now made a backup on the phone and a lot of my contacts got removed afterwards. Is there a way to get the contacts back?

Contact option is enable but still they dissappear.

Thanks for the heads up! You, my friend, have been very informative when it comes to my galaxy s23 ultra. I do, however, have one question regarding this phone. Do you know if samsung has a specific feature that locks the screen and prevents touches? I have a 2 year old that I sometimes let borrow my phone to watch a kids show while on long drives, and it doesn't work out well since she immediately exits out or launches another app. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem, especially if others like myself have toddlers. Any info or advice will be helpful. Thanks, and keep those videos coming.

this just happened on my note 20 this morning. 30 contacts left out of over 300. google sinc is on but unable to retrieve any contacts.

Good content Jeff but I have one for you. When you have a contact that has old numbers or old addresses. And when you delete one them and save the update the number or address is still there. How do we fix that?

I save contacts on the sim card and then copy it to the phone....I particularly don't like syncing them with any cloud. As for the iPhone I have if I need to keep it up to date I just pop out the sim card into the S 21 Ultra and copy it from there lol. Not a fan of syncing with cloud services where my contacts are concerned. I think Samsung is the only phone manufacturer that lets you copy from phone to sim and vice versa.

This does not work for my S22 ultra. I have contact sync ON already and looses contacts randomly. This happens from last 1 year and it is very stupid. Hope someone got solution.

I lost some contacts. I have version 23.17 on a s10. I show a message saying Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly. Also google assistant won't send text messages. It will do other things fine . Just no text messaging.

Thank you, I am trying to help my Aunt who says her contacts disappeared, she lives in another State so, I am going to try this with helping her over the phone. She is 80!!! On another note, I have a google pixel 6a and I can't get my contacts to save on my device, everything saves to my email, is this another feature that google created? Can you help with that? I am 70!!!!
