Container rollover on 710 freeway - rotator recovery. Welcome back folks to ANOTHER container rollover! Been a cool minute but I haven't lost my touch as is evident by this video. Loaded container filled with flooring material, took a nasty tumble in South LA, on the 710 freeway by Anaheim. Hulk and Big Flipper tackled the container, while our 50ton Vulcan controlled the tractor.
As usually happens, the load shifted during the rollover, which you can clearly see after we have it upright. This is why I always love using the rotators for the load and a heavy wrecker for the tractor. In this case, the rotators held the container while the wrecker pulled away the tractor and chassis, then the rotators counter leaned the container HARD to get the load right. Imagine all the "I could have done that with one truck" try to do this job this fast, with this kind of clearance? Sure, you could have. But would you be able to do the job in 30 min flat while keeping the freeway open?
