If your friend doesn't like this sort of big energy with a lot of things happening then Ateez is probably just not for her. We all know that they do have songs in other styles but this is quintessentially "them", it's not a bug, it's a feature. It's just not everyone's cup of tea.

I don't think this is the best example of ATEEZ personally considering this wasn't even a full member comeback but I understand her criticism. I think what she doesn't like about them is what myself and others love about them. The personality, individuality and barely contained Chaos is what caught my eye most immediately about ATEEZ pre-debut and why I love their music and performance style. There are some songs and groups that feel overwhelming to my tastes personally though so I get why it may be off putting or disappointing to her especially without the same context we have of the larger kpop picture. For me I love synchronized dance and there are groups with all KINDS of different strengths and weaknesses and I think when you see a whole lot of contained synchronized pretty dance for a long time it doesn't make it less great but it makes the unique and imperfect (because of the power and intensity. Other dance reactors have explained this better than me) really sparkle and stand out to me.

After watching this, I was expecting chaos in the comment section. But ATINYs are really on another level! Very respectful and objective. I'm so proud to be part of this fandom! I may not agree with some of her opinions but she is entitled to say whatever she feels like about any group. I really appreciated how she pointed out how Wooyoung's AOTM has the musical theatre performance vibe (which is actually what we get from any ATEEZ performance because each member gets fully immersed into their role) and also his amazing core control. And how she pointed out how ATEEZ/KQ Fellaz has understood their assignment (as always)!

Totally respect her opinions but we love Ateez because they aren't all doing the same things in the exact same way. Ateez focus is each member delivering with their own personality and many times, the choreo isn't even the same for each member. They come together on certain parts. As a dancer and someone who was co-lead in a RnB group, I like personality in moves and get bored easily with militant structure, meaning everyone be here at this time, do this exactly like this. No thanks. There's plenty of that in kpop and it's why I was leaving until I found Ateez. As the leader Hongjo is free to improvise on performances and I also love that. There are a lot of groups she can watch that will give her that structure she prefers and I think she will enjoy them. Ateez is a young group selling out arenas and we don't every want to see them change to the norm. Thank you for the react.

I don’t know anything about dance, but I personally love how everyone has their own “style” - especially in fireworks. You can see a huge difference between Wooyoung and San, for example. And the difference is not a bad thing. San is more aggressive in his dancing and I love that. I don’t care if it “takes away from the routine” - it’s a performance. If everyone danced the same way it would be weirdly robotic. Their personality IS their selling point. No hate to her though, she’s entitled to her opinion.

Mingi was the memeber missing from I'm the One, he was on hiatus for a few months because of psychological anxiety.

I don't think Ateez is her cup of tea. What stands out about them and what a lot of us love about them is precisely what she pointed out about them

I love fireworks choreo, it's pretty intense and you have different moves all the time which is fun to dance to! I don't even know the choreo perfectly but everytime I watch their mv I dance along and it's like doing cardio! lol I know where's she's coming from but she needed more context about the group, ateez are known for their individuality, they go against the norm in choreographies and syncronizations, and even though I love the song I don't think it was a smart idea to show her that song first, but anyways, hopefully she will react to other ateez's dance practices, but I suggest to let her know that each of them will always dance with different energy and vibe and that's what makes them unique and stand out from other popular groups :)

It would be interesting to have her watch "Deja Vu" and "Turbulence", since one is very big on the performance and the other is vocally beautiful. She definetly has to watch their "Wonderland" performance from Kingdom and, as a lot of people say, "Aurora" might be more of her taste, for example.

Thank you for this♡. I love the honest opinion with reason and knowledge that she has. I'm glad that she recognized wooyoung's dance even in the fireworks. Wooyoung has also done several dance cover in Twitter (I think someone upload it on RU-vid too) like birthday suit, x1 move, tiger inside etc, those are filmed like the dance practice so she'd probably likes it.

i mean, that’s ateez thing, ofc hype songs like fireworks would have a HYPE choreo like what do y’all expect, they don’t need to have robot-like synchronization to stand out, every member is unique but they still look like a team

As someone with adhd I completely understand what she means when she says the Fireworks choreo is a lot. There is so much going on at one time that it’s hard to pay attention to what’s going on in the front versus the back and then there’s so much happening within the counts as well. I saw some suggestions in the live chat for Aurora and I think that’s a good choice but I’d also suggest Answer and Inception

i think the utopia(has a music video if you’re not sure:) music video would be really nice. it’s not too chaotic and their vocal/rap ability shines. i would recommend aurora, dreamers and be my lover too, i think she would enjoy these songs more.

I'm another person who doesn't know much of the choreography But as a fan of them and I've watched a lot of dance practice, every band is different, but ATEEZ, they gave me goosebumps the whole time watching Their choreography is different from other groups and is very cool I accept your opinion but in the comments some people are very bad Just like when you criticize like this, people who don't like ATEEZ will be satisfied and comment on their bands but offer them in a way they hate ATEEZ i feel bad about those comments

if she wants rap i'd recommend stray kids miroh, easy, gods menu or victory song. y'all comment any other songs i missed, also treasure has bomb vocals like boy or i love you

Fireworks was a bit different than their normal title tracks and it wasn’t a complete group comeback. I’m Hongjoong biased, and if she would have been told before hand that he is there playing two parts, his part and Mingi’s part she would understand why he is putting in so much effort. Plus every ateez members stands out on their own. If I want to introduce ateez to someone I would go with more vocally high songs like Inception, Say my name or Answer. And then the new comebacks- deja vu, eternal sunshine and turbulence. I think seeing her reaction to fireworks, she might not like Wonderland or HALA HALA. Though HALA HALA is a stage ,masterpiece, breaking all shackles

I look forward to her reactions bc of her critiques that helped me improve my form when I dance, she very honest which is very refreshing.

OMG I was the comment who reccomended she watch Wooyoungs! I HAVE seen Jailhouse Rock and West Side Story of course and I completely agree with the dance style influence she saw. I was a little nervouse going in lol but I'm glad she said it was cute lmao. Also ATEEZ love Michael Jackson (as most idols do tbh).

This shows us how different people's tastes are, fireworks is my fav song and I totaly respect her opinion, if she is looking for vocals abilities & rap skills! I recommend you utopia, the leaders, mist, aurora, be with you, precious, fever, star1117, turbulence, all about u, the letter, thank u, dancing like butterfly wings Whatever side you look for, you will find it in Ateez! It’s one of my favorite routines, love all the energy they bring, she’s an interesting reactor. Ateez’s vibe is not for her but they have the rap, musicality and dancing.

Being Wooyoung biased I like how she said “I like this Donny in the middle” twice about him during the Fireworks dance practice. He takes great pride in being a “clean” dancer. He’s not perfect as he himself will admit but strives to work on that more than being “showy”. It was interesting that she enjoyed Hongjoong in KQ Fellaz but found him distracting in Fireworks. I understand what she’s saying though. He’s not one of the best dancers but he has great stage presence. Each of the members brings something unique that appeals to different people.

I wanted to recommend SVT in terms of vocals/rap, dance techniques, synchronizations and artistic textures to their choreos like don’t wanna cry, rock with you, fallin flower, 24h etc but I feel it may be too overwhelming since there’s like 13 of them 😭

I think in terms of vocal ability, she would love MIST or UTOPIA, also if she checked Aurora would be awesome. I can't wait for her to review more ATEEZ content, she is my fave reactor

The reason for the 7 members is because at the time Mingi was on hiatus due major anxiety disorder. Now he's back you should've showed her some of the newer mv's or Treasure. I'm sorry that she didn't like the chaos because that's what makes Ateez unique it shows each of their personalities in the dancing. I'm kinda glad she didn't react to them when they were on their variety show that's more chaos which I love as Atiny (fandom name) multistan.

Watching Wooyoung again... I think the level of choreography is pretty tricky; it's not easy. So I salute him for being able to try on this dance and do quite well. His facial expressions towards the camera were probably the best , most engaging part. I still want to see him dance more "clean" though... I feel like that's the only thing his performance was missing. Oh! Also sitting in the beat more, maybe that's why it felt kind of rushed to me?

I think CeeCee might enjoy watching the full focused versions of the Studio Choom videos. While you miss out on some of the facial expressions, the stationary cam makes it much easier to take in and analyse the dance. (Also, I definitely agree that HongJoong stands out: there's something about his performance. But he stands out in a positive way for me.)
