This was at a time when Jimin himself said he was specifically working on his stamina rather than "working out". His chronic muscle pain kept him from doing the kind of training he probably needed/wanted, I think. He did improve his ability to sing and dance to this song as the tour progressed. Now, he has really started training physically like he probably wanted to all along. Perhaps the forced rest of the pandemic allowed his body to heal to a certain degree, maybe? Either way, he showed a new level of performance, especially vocally in the PTD shows and in Busan.

Ik she mentioned his stamina and compared it to hers but imagine performing 7 songs before this also 😭

Jimin looks super amazing in any outfit he wears we so love it.

The choreographer, Brian Puspos, said that not very many people can imitate his work...but Jimin can. He also stated that many do not like to use his work because the dances are so intricate even to the finger tips. Look for the London performance...when he is a in a bubble. There are less dancers and he sings 98% of it. I also think he wasnt feeling well during the Japan tour.

Jimin gives his best. He knows what we want and he wants to please us. There is no holding back. He was born to dance. The choreography is too intense to sing the entire song. He has to consider his movements both of body and vocal cords/breathing. He was born to perform. He had to learn in six months what the vocal line learned in 18 before debut. We all heard the story of his dance school allowing him to go for free when he told them he might have to quit due to finances. He already shined before he ever auditioned for BigHit. Jimin does lyrical dance really well, but with even the lyrical dancing, Jimin adds his own flair. I personally think Jimin is doing a bit more than flow-y lyrical dancing. Jimin seems to always add poppin at the end of a beat and he performs his movements with tremendous amount of muscle control, which I’m sure requires calculated breathing control on its own, let alone singing. Do you think it’s really because of stamina that Jimin didn’t sing certain parts or is it done on purpose to focus on the delivery of these dance movements? It is a genuine question

I wish you wouldve reacted to the 2019 version because I dont know how but he seemed to have perfected this dance since he performed it at tokyo dome plus the element of adding a glass ball was a nice touch. I agree that jimin just stands out when theyre dancing as a group and he doesnt dial it back like jhope to fit in with the group because you can clearly see he gets lost in the moment. He definitely shines when hes by himself which is why im interested in seeing the album hes releasing next month

5:40 To be fair I honestly think he improved quite a lot remember this was in 2018, I feel like if you would’ve watched 2019 performance you would’ve seen how drastically different it is, from the movements being more sharper and cleaner to his voice being less breathy. It was quite beautiful actually and I’m not one to like slow songs so this song really surprised me

Girl …he has already done some songs with choreos before this. Of course he will get tired. Especially since they always give it their all in every song. He isn’t doing a try out for no academy. He already was in a dancing academy, but if he did.. trust and believe that he would of done his best even better. Girl…I’m most Kpop groups practice hours and hours to get to a level where they can dance and sing live. I am not into any other Kpop group but bts but facts are facts ..Kpop idols make magic when it comes to performances. !! Don’t hate.

No one can top jimin in dance!! That’s one of the reasons his solo songs always have the hardest choreographies among all of the members. And that’s why his singing proving each year when he is moving. Never be ignorant

dude i have seen people completely lose breath when they are just singing and here we have JIMIN singing the song along with dancing such a difficult choreo live, the moves are such that it won't allow you to sing at the same time as you can see, so i don't know how she being a "professional dancer" doesn't know that. her work is just to dance and i doubt she even dances 2 songs in a row. She should stick to just praising the dancing imo. Ps: i would love if you could attach the videos of the professional dancers dancing in the beginning of each videos, i really want to see their dancing

Yeah half of the time these guys will sing 4 to 7 songs in one setting then continue with some solo stuff afterwards it's definitely not easy but they sing and dance endlessly. Especially with there LA concert that is on Disney plus you can see they play 3 to 4 songs and they have backstage footage as well where they are so tired as well.

Unfortunately this wasn’t the best version to watch. On top of everything others have mentioned, the camera work doesn’t give you a complete appreciation for the choreo and what Jimin does with it. I watched a reaction video that Brian Puspos did (the choreographer) and he said a lot of the specific hand work was added by Jimin and he felt it improved upon what he gave him.

At these concerts, BTS usually open with a couple of their most tiring and hardcore hype-up songs/choreos and the solo songs come in for everyone to take a bit of a break mid concert and Jimin does tend to push himself a bit too much being a perfectionist to his own detriment. He's grown a lot since but yeah, RM and J-Hope usually has to reign this kid in and tell him to slow down since he's prone to burning himself out early 😅

Para mí los 7 son muy buenos bailarines pero jimin al ser bailarín profesional expresa todo con su cuerpo , tanto para bailar como para cantar es puro talento, no por gusto es catalogado como uno de los mejores bailarines de kpop y a pesar de su buena condición física no es lo mismo bailar y cantar una canción como serendipity después de estar cantando y bailando 5 o 6 canciones , jimin es un ser humano no un robot, asi k tomando en cuenta esto ,fue una actuación super k espectacular como todo lo k el hace con ese inmenso talento k tiene

I think that the problem with most of his solo songs are that he uses falseto and lot of high notes. It is pretty more difficult to sing that way while dancing. Serendipity is too high and filter has a very complicated song to sing while dancing.

It's been a while since that presentation and their presence on stage and their vocal endurance have improved a lot since then if they do a lot of physical conditioning and vocal training why don't they react to vibe, Yet to come or the Busan concert the work is there and the improvement is undeniable it's easy to judge without knowing all the work behind the artist.

LOL! You do a live performance of 6 songs with intense dance choreography then do a solo sing and dance "Serendipity" and tell me about your stamina. So called "Professional"🤣

idk who you think can perform an entire choreography and sing live for a whole song but it's just not possible. not even beyonce or mj can pull this off because it is not humanly possible to hit notes and dance the for 5+ minutes live the entire performance. you need to take strategic breathing breaks for live performances while the backtrack vocals assist when you need to breathe. he hit the notes when he needed to and perfected every move. the song itself doesn't have mariah notes, it is a very delicate song and he matched the correct vocals. even jungkook who is the strongest live performer in bts and probably the best overall performer in korea was visibly out of breath for my time doing that intense choreo and singing live. it's better seeing a human performance than lip syncing/no effort on stage. let's be realistic here.

6:08 excuse me? it is super difficult moves compared to what their group choreography are to what JIMIN does in his solo. It takes a lot of his flexibility move movements and more stamina for a Slow Lyrical dance. The movements he’s doing is everything got to do with Breathing and Stamina and this is part of a concert and they already did a performance before this. In group performance they have slow time while they sing and rest of the time just to dance when other person’s turn, its not like that during a full solo performance that too what JIMIN does during his Solo song Choreography okay. Its normal for anyone to have difficulty while singing and dancing like that at the same time. You are using same Breath to do two things at the same time, your whole movement with JIMIN every muscles and joints and sing in the same breath. Look if u do Moves likes JIMIN along with sing like him & the moves he does I will take your comment into relevance, try, commenting on someone looking at their performance is very easy anyone can talk with tongue. But do it, try to do what JIMIN does then Talk.

Please don’t have this dancer react to Jimin anymore. While I don’t doubt she is a professional her tone is condescending and honestly Jimin is where he is because of the level of his talents.

Also sometimes these performances are amidst a whole concert with the other members. They’re rushing around to get changed. Depending how far in this was he may have been worn out. 😊 we do love seeing idols having human moments though. A voice crack, a misstep, a moment of weakness reminds us that they are people like everyone and we cherish it.

I think he was injured just before the concert and that's why he was not doing the lying down and acrobatic parts..

Each member does 15+ choreos per show..

I was giggling with every critic. The London performance has everything she mentioned. Fewer dancers, shirt change, singing throughout while still dancing, etc.

I’m seeing people complain about the fact that they choose this specific performance of serendipity, and while I can understand the sentiment of wanting to present your idol in the best way, it’s okay for there to be performances that maybe aren’t 100% up to standard (this is still a very solid stage). There’s nothing wrong it and we all know how much he’s improved from then till now. Anyways!! It’s always a delight to see a video from Ceecee

Girl bye!!! Jimin can dance period! Its easy to sit and critique someone and say Im a dancer so I qualify. Well a lot of dancers will tell you he's an excellent dancer and overall performer.

I think their movements seemed lost because of the camera shots. I didnt like those angles.

She the only got something to say wrong about jimin jimin wasn't feeling well but he still made the effort to perform for the army he didn't want to disappoint army but if u look at the other time he perform this same song she wouldn't be saying that cause he is awesome at everything also look at his other performances as well senses she got so much to say but of course that's her opinion to me she act like she don't like jimin I loved everything about this performance and all the rest and all of bts performances aswell she need to go react to getting to know all 7 members and what they been through to get to where they at now and is call global international k-pop boy group they are well known around the world and still getting Recognize. Yes, this is like halfway through 2-3 hour concert. Where they don’t get rest, they have costume changes and then run back onstage. I get what she is saying and agree if this was the only song he performed that night. I think she doesn’t understand what their concerts are like and is nit picky.

I do agree that, while this performance shows his choreo, it doesn't really show off Jimin's voice. I don't know if it's simply about hit fitness/stamina, so much as the type of dancing he's doing required one type of breathing, versus his singing needing to be different again. Serendipity is a very soft song, requiring a lot of breath for the tone that Jimin originally sung in. And it is a HARD song to sing as is for that reason. Higher in his chest range, very technically challenging in parts, especially with breath. And if you're dancing like he was, it makes sense that he didn't quite get it. But, hey, still pretty darn good. And he did get better with time/other performances, so we know he would eventually have it in him to get better at managing two very different physical requirements.

She’s like the prof. in the department ppl may not like until they take her class and understand the thought process/ reason behind what’s being said.

Can you all chill? The guy is a superstar and he's going to show exactly that in his solo career but some of you need to learn to take criticism and know how to disagree with others without getting so passive agressive.

I usually enjoy your videos but why always choose this video for serendipity.. he improved a lot in the span of 1 year.. There are literally others more recent to chose from.. I wish you would pick the japan one for example or even the seoul from 2019. You are kind of setting Jimin up because the dancer is judging an old version so not very fair and no longer accurate

I think if he was a really good professional 1. She wouldn't compare herself to herself, because she's a woman, Jimin is a man + most of the viewers don't even know who this criticizing woman is, so they don't know her works either. 2. Jimin has sung before and likes to give his best in every song. This can make you tired. Since he performs while the others have a break, he cannot rest much before the start of the next performance. 3. Whoever showed it to him didn't mention a huge thing that would make him look at -jimin's performance differently. Jimin has chronic knee, back and neck pains every day and they can occur at any time. We only see that perhaps the best dancer in the world dazzles us every day, but he may have to endure hellish torment in the meantime. I know what I'm talking about. I am different and I swam competitively. Many times I drowned in the water during training. I once lost a competition because I got sick (silver instead of gold) They often laugh at him because he falls. I know it could be because of your knee. Since his body is quite strong and he exercises, the disease weakens the aching muscles in 1 minute. You can even cause paralysis if you don't pay attention properly. This performance may not have been the best, but it's no coincidence that Jimin has been the king of k-pop for 4 years. He is an icon and the child of Mrs. Terminator and MJ. Intelligent, cultured, modest, sophisticated, unique, inimitable. He already has a name, with a capital letter. JIMIN is the king

What CeeCee was saying in the beginning made sense. She just gives detailed critiques. It can be a bit of a shock to understand, but I get it. I had a teacher like her, rest her lovely soul, who was more inclined to give tough love and point out every single detail. But looking back now, all her students always had As, B was the lowest for those who struggled the most. But she genuinely loved the subject, wanted everyone to be good at it, or in the very least, have a stepping stone from merely passing it. She was scary and sometimes annoying no lie lol, but she loved what she did and all her students. Enough rambling, all this to say, seeing room for improvement everywhere you are isn't as negative as it comes across to be. Love the reactions as always🌷
