Fun Fact: This thumbnail has been reused, similar to how content farms reuse their thumbnails. This was meant to be used for that cancelled video in November last year. I'm so glad I still have the PDN file for it.
A content farm is a channel that makes low-quality content from other peoples ideas in favour of audience engagement. These types of channels mainly milk off the success of popular products, such as The Amazing Digital Circus and Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 with the introduction of the Smiling Critters.
Some content farms can be really good, whilst other content farms are disturbing and horrid. This video discusses examples of content farms and my opinion of them.
Certain parts of this video are definitely rushed because I had to have this uploaded by Friday night as I'm not home any time after that.

Here's a tip for anyone wanting to make an Indie game and avoid content farms: Colour. Poppy, Banban and Among us had characters with simple designs and a wide variety of colours that will hook pretty much any child with the incredible amount of stimulation in the thumbnails. This is why Lethal company managed to skip around it and you don't see that many Bendy farms- lack of extreme colour. Colour is nice, but try and avoid having numerous characters with every colour of the rainbow.

I’m glad to find someone else talking about the problems with content farms who can also appreciate the characters themselves. All too often people write off the characters alongside the content and it can be disheartening. I myself am very fond of the Smiling Critters and think silly weird fan story concepts can be great if handled correctly. However, most of the “fan content” you can actually manage to find of them is content farm slop, with good fan works being few and far between. I actually watched GameToons a long time ago, back when they were doing their Among Us series, and I remember them actually being rather enjoyable. So I definitely feel like out of all the content farms their videos are the most likely to be genuinely entertaining, though I haven’t seen their recent content in full yet so I’m not certain.

At first it was as original and had entertaining stories. They took popular games and did fun stuff with it, sometimes satirical like Fall guys, Among Us and FNF. Now it’s just as content farming as the other channels with titles like “Catnap has Kittens” or “Skibidi toilet but their superheroes”. Can’t say I blame them either every time they try something new, they get relatively lower views. Not even that bad only like a couple 100k compared to their millions of views.

Man, I remember the good days of Game Toons. Back then with the Among Us videos, it had some kind of feel to it that made it seem original and entertaining. But after a while, it started to loose that feeling, all thr way until they turned into a content farm.

For gametoons back in the channel earlier years with the old among us videos they where much better than the videos nows a days PS: The Part With Huggy Wuggy Meets Jumbo Josh Part is the best Skit Sense that one had the Deepest Message with the State of Indie Horror games and (Sure there was the mention of Poppy chapter 3 promo at the end of the song but because of how good that chapter truly became it's the best part in the whole seriers and after that the series ended)

I have watched videos of Gametoons and Zamination/Enchanted mob but i didn’t know that Zamination/Enchanted mob show some sexual appearance with the female characters. To be honest I wish that they didn’t show that in the thumbnails. I’m glad that the person who made this video showed positivity for gametoons.

MOB has literally matured in two ways. Stopping their content farm crap and improving Poppy Playtime. And I swear GameToons truly is one of the worst content farms. I made roast videos on their full Skibidi Toilet series due to them telling me about it before they milked it. It scarred me for a week. Also noticed how they're actively trying to become the next Zamination's now when they made that one complation video with a clickbait title and thumbnail. Among Us Logic days were better but barely anyone talks about Fall Guys Logic now. They didn't care about money then, now they just copy and paste with their origin stories, "dark characters", and inaccurate logic, especially with Poppy Playtime btw, as they post before future chapters and assume things, like Kissy being a villain. I also notice they may be a key ingredient for reaction content farms like Lankybox usually. And they make AUL videos randomly, but only once for satisfication only to go back to it, while we wish they stay like how they did in 2020. I only heard Gummy Dora twice including now and easily hated it.

Ngl faz bear & friends isn't the worst thing in the world but its animation has the same quality as poppy playtime which has pretty good animation like mommy long legs but some of their videos are questionable but the other channels are just not okay I mean game toons was pretty decent and it least had some thought when making the videos and don't get me started on tadc content farms, all they have are bad animation or if you can ever understand stand the voice acting, intentionally all these content farms in common, they all have the same formula. It sucks I know but theres nothing we can do about it, the children that have to see this garbage is sad. I hope this ends some day and the content farm will learn from their BIG mistakes and do something better on RU-vid like make actual good animation, music, art, sound, and just love and passion. I think the reason why Gametoons became a content farm is because they started to lose relevancy. Just like ZAM. I feel bad for them. They could try to make videos with more effort, but the reason they don’t is the fear of losing their new audience and relevancy, so they are stuck being a content farm. I will say even though their content changed, at least it sometimes has charm. British CatNap is unexpected but at the same time funny.

They use the same copy and paste thumbnails. It's always a normal creature turning into the character mentioned, mostly a human. They also reuse plots 24/7 and have even clickbaited with a compilation. They also promoted sex to children in the past with their FNF Logic series. Sorry, but they are indeed a content farm.

I kinda feel that poppy playtime has been engineered to be as exploitable to content farms as possible. Like it was designed to take advantage of social media algorithms so it could be as "Viral" as possible. RU-vidr bait games if you will. Honestly i don't think i will ever touch poppy playtime no matter how good newer chapters will be. I think that they tried *So* hard to cash in on poppy playtime chapter 1 because they knew their virality is fleeting and they know something will come in and steal its target audience. That something was Garten of banban, and honestly i prefer that over poppy because at least garten feels like the room of mascot horror wheras poppy just shamelessly rips analogue horror tropes without any tact or reason why they work.

Wdym. Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 doesn’t seem to be a cash grab. CatNap’s monster design is less marketable and colorful than the others. Let’s not forget about his nightmare design. Puzzles are fun, and there is a lot of cool stuff. Miss Delight’s design is a perfect example. Her face shattered, revealing her fleshy face. Doesn’t seem kid friendly. They did the analog horror stuff good. Like the Restricted VHS vids and the Nightmare sequence in chapter 3. It was unexpected. If it is still a cash grab, wouldn’t they make the characters more marketable and colorful? Wouldn’t they not improve the game more? Wouldn’t they not raise up the violence and gore? No. They actually improved the game, made it scarier, fun, and more brutal. Let’s not forget about “The DogDay Scene” if you know what I mean. It’s very clear that the devs have changed and are done with kiddy horror. So I heavily disagree about you saying Poppy Playtime is a cash grab. Plus Chapter 1 was Mob’s first game and was meant to be a testing game to see what more they could do with it.

This is one of the worst opinions I've ever seen And you haven't even touched a single chapter in the franchise, It's all just the "haters gonna hate" type of shit The devs want the game to be not "kid-friendly" And as for Garten of Ban Ban that shit doesn't have any love put into it Poppy playtime on the other hand is made with real effort especially Chapter 3,Poppy Playtime is definitely not for kids You must be judging by the brainrotting content farmers' "content"

Ah yes! I love seeing my favorite tortured, cut in half, terrified character eating noodles while being crucified. I’m sure children would love that! Jokes aside, I think the views of that mukbang video are likely bots and confused children who’ve never seen chapter 3 and clicked only because the video was a mukbang and had colorful characters that are mascots. I say this because seeing all of the playthroughs vids of chapter 3, they don’t have enough views that could be a lot of children watching. Also because if a child saw chapter 3, especially the DogDay scene, they’d definitely would get disturbed enough to stop viewing poppy playtime content. Hopefully the children of that video saw chapter 3 and got a disturbing surprise that will stop them.

I just don’t think a child would watch anymore cringe videos of the characters, considering how brutal and mature chapter 3 is. Also considering how deep DogDay’s speech was, it wouldn’t make sense that a child would watch weird ‘DOGDAY MUKBANG’ videos after seeing that.

bruh Gametoons are NOT a content farm. they do the same stuff as content farms but their content is actually really good and high quality. they even wrote an entire essay on there community page about dafuqboom copyright striking them and how they are not a content farm.

okay. so the quality is high and the voice acting is good; but does that really explain the general themes of the videos. "Catnap Sad Origin Story", "Catnap Twin Sister", "Catnap has Kittens", "The Reject Critter" are introducing lore we can't confirm and characters we can confirm don't exist. Funny enough. DFB actually said he wanted to avoid content farms from milking the series he created. He actually read fans' emails and messages and took action specifically with GameToons. And besides, I've made plenty videos on that series and there's already some copy and paste, repetitive, and low effort stuff there.
