A meditative story that deals with the theme of ambition and first hand experience with near death of a workaholic employee who follows money instead of his family happiness. It is a story that tells us that ambition in man is the entire cause of ruin and misery. When people are ambitious, they do not allow themselves to think properly. The money minded people realize their mistakes only after they are ruined. The wise people grab the opportunity to correct themselves, whereas the fools are ruined. Even the fools know when they are in the mouth of death and try to escape. Their story would sound similar but not exaggerated as Tom Benecke in Jack Finney´s 18 page long description. The writer is paradoxically talking that people come to alter and realize death only on the death bed.
