I love what you did with the music in the episode Tails' new home. In the actual episode the music was slightly lower pitch than usual, but you fixed the music by raising the pitch back to normal.

I feel that the episode was too short for the time length, they decided to slow down the footage; So, I did that to fix it. I would appreciate it if someone uploads the entire episode with the fixed speed.

This makes me appreciate the show even more than I already do. It's amazing to see them add in continuity nods in such a show that looks like it won't. It actually sort of makes it ahead of its time, we wouldn't see such a show also have continuity nods until the 2010s with Adventure Time & Regular Show, both of which went further ahead with the idea of continuity.

One thing that people tend to overlook is that "Sonically Ever After" is NOT the final episode, in terms of story order (besides the title itself wasn't signalizing that at all. Not all episodes has Robotnik in his regular fortress, nor was that location always the main focus, what with "The Robotnik Express" and "Attack on Pinball Fortress" shows they weren't in the usual location of the cartoon series); that honor of being the last chronological episode goes to "Hero of the Year" which is in fact, a clipshow, which is a framing device that some shows end on before wrapping up; and this is why I believe "Sonic is Running" came after "Attack on Pinball Fortress", because that episode puts more focus on Weasley helping Sonic, moreso than "Hero of the Year".

@@robbiewalker2831 Really? Huh, I guess "Sonically Eve After" would've probably been episode 29 had they went in story order instead of production order.

It's impressive that Tails' affinity for machines all began here. Back when there were only 2 Sonic games on the Mega Drive the only inkling he had said affinity was he could fly Sonic's plane. It wasn't till Adventure where the games established he was more than a pilot.

Well, there's also Tails' Adventures. The Manual for that game (at least the Japanese one) said it came before Sonic 2, storywise, so I imagine that Tails was still bullied even after he did an impossible feat like stopping an Armada of Cyborg Birds... and then Sonic came along and welcomed Tails to the group, seeing how Tails is self-reliant when given the right opprotunity, as demonstrated by the aforementioned Adventure 1 and 2.

To me it makes a kinda twisted sense that they'd use Mario sounds for Robotnik's computer, since at the time Mario and Sonic were considered rivals.

Well yeah. People think Sonic Boom has strong continuity and that AoStH doesn't, when in reality it's the other way around. This is why I love Classic Sonic stuff (along with Adventure 1 and 2, because it was like AoStH and SatAM respectively in terms of writing).
@ScatterbrainPete

@@robbiewalker2831 I'd say Boom and AoStH are on equal terms when it comes to continuity nods. The difference between the two is that AoStH doesn't hold back on the weirdness factor whereas Boom is more reserved and mostly relies on its jokes. Also, if we're talking Sonic cartoons in general, SatAM feels like AoStH if it was trying to be darker, edgier and more serious (which looking back more often than not doesn't work for me), Underground is a giant headache-inducing mess, and both the OVA and X basically give us just the games which in turn makes any original additions in them (Sara, the Land of the Sky, Chris Thorndyke, the Metarex) stick out like a sore thumb making us question what was the point of any of this in the first place.

You weren’t completely wrong. The thing is I love AoStH, despite the weird factor, because it was dedicated to how Classic American Cartoons were; Naoto Ohshima, the Character Creator of Sonic, was into that stuff. SatAM is fine but I don’t think a Third season should be warranted if Naugus is not a Chaotic Neutral character like he was in his first appearance of the show, something that the Archie comics didn’t understand about his character; Not even Ben Hurst, the writer of the episode, understands the continuity of the situation. Just because he’s a Wizard or a Warlock, doesn’t automatically mean he’s evil... look at the Winter Warlock from "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", Merlin from "the Sword in the Stone", or Uncle Jonathan from “A House with a Clock in its Walls”. Anyways, when I say continuity nods, I mean that it actually is a sentiment to the story rather than a detriment. If it was a detriment, it would be a continuity snarl, and Sonic Boom (and Sonic X) is full of them. Sonic X brings up the idea that Eggman's grandfather is Gerald Robotnik, but it never brings up why Mobius and Earth are two seperate planets since the Dreamcast died. It expects you that this is the way it is with no fucks given and no questions asked. Well I have been into Sonic since playing Adventure 1 and 2, watching AoStH, playing Sonic Mega Collection, and watching the Sonic OVA, and I'd say that the structure of Earth in Adventure 1 and 2 is very similar to the structure of Mobius in the Classic Games, that it makes me believe that they're one and the same. So why the sudden change to saying "Fuck you, we're not calling it Mobius anymore, and Sonic's World is not Mobius either; we're also making it two seperate planets"? It raises so many questions to those diehard Americans and it not only restricts the idea of Sonic, it makes it worse! As for Sarah and Chris? I like Sarah, because she has such a weird personality that would fit in with the Sonic cast, where you think she actually cares about Sonic, or she secretly has a love-hate relationship with Dr. Eggman. Chris, on the otherhand... I can't take him seriously with his background of being born rich, not being social, and also have "cat's in the cradle" syndrome imprinted on himself. If you ask me, it would be a lot better if he was not written like this, but instead was a Robotnik Jr. Character so the last part about the whole "Cat's in the Cradle" trope would be more effective that way, instead of giving up real-life for fantasy, which happens in Sonic X's Meterex Season.

13:11 This looks like that face from 8-bit Mean Bean Machine that, according to Chariii5, "says more than a thousand words". I wonder if this is the original source of that face or did they take it from another episode?

I don't know... Scratch and Grounder appear before their made?
@robbiewalker2831
@robbiewalker2831 3 года назад
That’s what I was trying to point out. Sonic and Tails had a run in from Scratch and Grounder since they were created and it’s implied that the story of the first episode happened four months before the events of “Birth of the Salesman”. How long have they been chasing Sonic and Tails before the story within the story, or even the episode afterwards? Who knows.
@ExtremeWreck
@ExtremeWreck 2 года назад
Perhaps a previous generation of Scratch & Grounder by another engineer? I don't know, this show gets confusing. I mean, not as confusing as Mister Spiff, which has lore so confusing & logic so insane that it makes you wonder how much time it took for Adam Tyner to process all those wild imaginations into those games, but certainly confusing.
