This was one of my fav game... Also notice how gaming Industry has developed and changed. From contra to GTA 5...damn...can't think what type of games there will be in 2050...haha
yes indeed! this was before the information age when kids could be kids and run after each other outside playing cops and robbers. parents went to video stores and rented movies for sleepovers with popcorn and snacks. good times!
Its crazy to think over 32 years ago I used to throw my controller at my tv screen playing this game. That is until the Up, up, down, down, left, right start code hit the playground....
this was the first game of my brother and me we played it so fast trough it was very easy for us because we played it all the time and we were very young when we played it trough
I remembered the time when my cousin and me spent 3 whole days indulging in this game, figuring out all the enemy and boss attacks before finally being able to beat the final boss
Dominique Gobeil ces quoi la toune de rap le nom dla toune ces exactement le meme riff que le debut du jeu de contrat ahahah je lai sur le bout dla langue , jai mon esti de voyage jamais jai faite le lien !!!
NES removes the main difficult thing about this game which is starting all over again when you run out of lives. I've used the same strategy saving checkpoints where I have full lives and the S gun. I still can't defeat this final boss though. Lol Good job!
im not sure why Swartsenagger and Stalone did'nt make the movie version with Alien's Lair's music.. im imagining a younger CGI version of the two pairing up for this Epic adaption and tie it up with Preditor/Aliens franchise. a prequel to Preditor would be amazing: Preditors: Jim Hopper with Duane Johnson
Oh, well... Thank you! Sorry about calling it 'poorly done.' The fact you beat it at all is more than most people could say. And I can understand you wanting some variety in your boss fights. Again, I apologize about calling it poorly done, that was judgemental of me. Keep up the good work!
jmi84 actually as a 5 year old, i was a master at this game, playing daily you learn how to dodge everything and shoot everything, i even completed 1st level without dying ONE SINGLE TIME! No way would i be able to do it now days, no time and patients for forcing this game into the muscle memory (and mind)
there's a cheat for 30 lives. it's shown on some videos. the final boss isn't too hard. on a scale of 1 to 10 for difficulty (1 easy 10 hard) i give it a 3. you just have to get the final weapon capsule which contains the spread gun which,if you ask me,is the best weapon in the game.
I actually only played Super C on the NES, and yesterday me and my neighbor played Contra on an emulator. Not bad, I enjoyed the game, but the last level is FAR creepier than the one in Super C. I really hate those "aliens" - they ain't no aliens, they're just invertebrates ;_;
man that was frusterating watching him take on the final boss, he took about 5 times longer than he needed.run up to the heart, blast the hell out ot f it, the end.
