Is that Contra weapons wiki available in english? I didn't see anything on the main page to translate it.

the game gets so much hate so only japanese wiki has all info about weapons.. let me show u how to check the wiki Here is a list of machine guns: w.atwiki.jp/contrarcorps/pages/16.html As u can see here, ザ・フライ or The fly (translated) is a rank C+ weapon labeled with purple --> if u want to get it, only do missions that drop C+ machine gun According to this page: w.atwiki.jp/contrarcorps/pages/41.html So u can only get THE FLY in Level 3-1, 3-2, 3-4, 4-4, 4-5 (purple column)

@@DNKA9x It really does get a lot of hate, no doubt about it. So, with the combination of the guide I found on Steam, the wiki and your guide for following it, I think I can get what I need. Thank you so much! It is a bit odd the way the weapons drop. So, to test, if I want the Tri Gatling gun, only play missions that drop B+, so 5-1, 5-4. 5-5, 6-1, 6-2, 6-3, 7-1 and 7-3, right?

@@thejackal007 yeah but aim for the mission with many big mobs, if i remember right small mobs dont drop weapons. BTW hard core missions also has exclusive weapons u can find more info on the official site

@@yellowdude9425 Who wants just another 2D Contra game? I mean, there are so many Contra knockoffs out there that this genre honestly needs to evolve if it were to move forward. I would love to make something with a similar visual aesthetic to the PS2 Contras, as well as gameplay and sound elements that push the limits of even next-gen consoles rather than something that looks like it should've stayed in the 1990s.

@@jahmirwhite7807 Blazing Chrome was awesome though, and that was definitely a Contra inspired game. I do agree that a new Contra game like the PS2 Contra Shattered Soldier with updated graphics and a few new gameplay ideas would be awesome.

Watching this makes me want to give it another go. I know controversy vs this version of Contra, but I bought it twice: PS4 (Deluxe version) & PC, no regrets. I got swamped with so many new things though (happy like this) so I had to slow down when stuck by the 2nd drone-chopper boss (or, miniboss?) as things were becoming quite hard.

Great vid....like most I was outraged when I first saw this game, but really loved it by the time I reached the last boss....they seriously need to patch in a pause button though.

The tunnel rooms with the door pause the clock. I saw it on a review, the game should tell us that.

@@noside.foxhound Sorry for the late reply, I have. It’s a fun Contra Mobile game. It has the RPG like style of gameplay similar to Rogue Corps. But personally, Rogue Corps is easier because of it’s customization and weapon development. Sure it can be tedious at times, but like Returns, once you get used to how these customizations work, your soldier will get stronger as you progress. I enjoy both these games!

There's a problem with the second boss - Yokozuna was a giant running robot with an affinity for armored trains. This thing is not what they claim to be the same Yokozuna from Hard Corps and Shattered Soldier. You can't take a rejected monster from Western Silent Hill games and slap a name associated with one of original bosses.

Actually, this "Yokozuna" is the name for a different kind of boss rather than the blue giant running robot from HC and SS(which is also named "Yokozuna"). I feel as though they should've came up with a better name for this boss.

It's a shame this game seemed to be a limited budget title that was cranked out perhaps a little to fast. I suspect it was convenient since it needed to run on the Switch also. Despite that, it managed to be fun. I found this one to be very addictive. I love the weapon development aspect. The bigger shame is that it probably didn't sell well as so many dismissed it because of how it looked and it wasn't a side scrolling Contra game so now we probably won't get any more Contra games period.

konami started that after CONTRA HARD CORPS IN 1994 with Contra: Legacy of War and C: The Contra Adventure in 1996 and 1998

I think Gung krisna was trying to say that Contra turned trash because changed the gameplay perspective. He's not wrong, but not entirely right either. The only good 3D multi-directional Contra game imo was Neo Contra for PS2. In all other cases, when Contra was in 3D and changed gameplay perspectives, it really didn't do so hot, even with Rouge Corps. Still, I don't believe it was the perspective that made it bad, it was everything else regarding the gameplay.

Dont care for this game. The only thing I actually do like about this game is the art design. The alien technology to be exact. I remember the alien tech being a big part of the first two games and i see it present in this one. This game takes a few nods towards to old games. Bit this game is very far from the Contra i love. Contra 4 was the last great contra game. Shattered was decent too. Contra, Super C, Alien Wars, Contra 4, Shattered soldier. Best Contras.

its available when u start a new game (newbie/moderate/hardcode modes). Enemies are still the same but you will struggle with weak weapons from the start

Out of all Contra series I played and beat, This is the worst bullshit game I played and gave up the game. To me the concept of the game is trash and everything else is a totally garbage l. The good part of the game is the bosses at least something to be good to challenge.😒😞

But Contra Return is a fucking cashgrab mobile game that contains microtransactions, the graphics look cheap, everything else is cliched and generic and it seems to relied TOO heavily on the previous games. It seems like Contra 1, 2, 3 and Hard Corps smushed together into one for some reason.

Out of all the Contra games I played and beat to me this is the worst Contra series I've played and gave up on the game. The concept of this game is trash and ass and the weapons of this game sucks and above all I wasted my 60 dollars on this Corny ass Contra Rogue Corps bullshit game. The bosses of this game is the only good part at least but they hard to beat like the first time. Konami I'm disappointed, you guys could've done better and please don't make another part 2 of this Rogue Corp shitty ass game. 😞😒👎

@Will Walker Please don't encourage Konami to make a direct followup to this game and they should realize that they've made their biggest mistake and pay attention to their audience more often. This game is better off as an one-off game if you know what I'm saying...

My god this could be an awesome Contra game, the creature and character designs are nice! But the animation is way worse than first year animator's work. The presentation is god awful like the team only have a day to do it. and the sound design and the soundtrack is so MEH.

This game was such a let down. Nothing will ever top Alien Wars and HardCorps. Tons of bosses, amazing music and just non stop adrenaline rush. This game was for babies compared to those legends.
