No doubt contra has the Best User experience. But there is only one bad user experience for many user which is payment gateaway.Why Bank Account and Debit card payments are not available for pakista,India....etc? While on upwork,fiverr there are payment methods like payoneer,PayPal,Bank Transfer. I hope contra will fix that issue as well

Started Upwork and so Jaded. Can't even find one work and that is with over 12 years of experience in my field working with professional reputable organizations. I led projects, managed data. Doesn't mean shit because "I'm new at Upwork." So I don't even get a second look. It's insane and illogical. It's like I've lived in New York and worked there for 12 years. Then I move to Chicago. And employer says, "You have Zero experience so I'm not even going to look at you." I only look at Chicago experience. And then people would advise me saying, "Lower your rates to minimum wage entry level to be competitive in Chicago since you are new." Really? With 12 years of professional experience I have to beg for work on some stupid platform and lower my rates to practically min wage because I'm new on THAT platform. And what if Upwork goes down and I go to a different platform called "Shmupwork." You start over and pretend like you have no experience again? Illogical. Don't get me started on the crap non-existent customer service. Impossible to reach anyone there if there are any issues. Best thing is to avoid these platforms and go out on your own.

Can't agree more. Same happened to me after 15 years of experience as a designer in several reputed companies and a decent portfolio. People with less experience and poor quality of work get hired easily. And various types of fees which you only get to know on the go.
spent $1m on upwork - the real problem is that its almost impossible to find high level talents. the rating system is misleading, and there's many imposters and scammers
Like most remote sites, Contra seems to leave out alot of of possible freelancers like those from the Caribbean islands. Hopefully, this changes soon, and we can all experience what everyone else talks about.

We call them recommendations and once you get one or request one, they'll show up on your profile 🚀 We don't yet have the option to add discounts on your invoices, but that's a great idea. So I created my profile and had to make a video and submit my profile, so I could get access to the job listings. But it's been pending for 3 days. How long does it take? how many clients are at contra? and vs upwork? upwork has a big volume of jobs posted and contra? iam working on upwork coz of the volume of jobs, where I can get decent money. It's not easy, but like anywhere else
checked Contra filters for job search. sorry, but they are worse than on upwork. Seems impossible to filter jobs for 3d visualization/rendering for architecture/real estate

Have been checking your videos comparing upwork and contra and found out that its just not fair or true promises.... its all free and in upwork you should pay and bla bla promises ... its same and is cheaper in upwork considering that you dont have quarter of upwork traffic... not honest marketing sorry but not willing to pay 30$ a month for nothing. This is based after I tried the platform have been registered and bought premium plan and then I received a ghost email that you are not accepted... left very disappointed and confused...

My profile is only being viewed by other designers, and the available job listings are too scarce to provide any real opportunities. I understand that Contra is still developing, and I believe in its potential. However, given my current experience, I feel it's premature to compare it to Upwork or to suggest it’s better
