Just some clips put together while climbing for Grace Tree Service in Hayden, Idaho. Some were back in September and some from around Thanksgiving of this year.
dqmc07 Thank you and good looking out. I do need to go back to using my pocket wedge so I can keep both hands on my saw. I'm always careful that my bar is long enough to make the cut and that I'm not cutting too high. All excuses I know, and youre right soo thanks for looking out
Kevin Van Brunt I Just watched this again and I understand more about the longer bar concept, good stuff, and wow, the best let it run I’ve ever seen at 9:35 , and I’ve seen a lot too, take care and keep being safe.
is the 355t muffler modded at all? it sounds a bit louder than mine. If you haven't tweaked the intake yet, i advise you to do that, it will help immensely with the bogging you described in larger wood.
Ben Beebe we almost did but considering the damage it would have caused to the neighboring trees we decided against it. Its a city park so we hat be very considerate of other trees, especially since beetles are around and the excess stress can easily doom them
You are one of the first pros that I have seen using the Echo saw. I picked up a CS-355T for small removals and pruning for home use a year or so ago. It has worked good for me but it only sees occasional use. What is your opinion of it for a pro saw? When I got mine it looked like the best saw for under $400. Is this you daily use tree saw?
Larry Small yeah, I just got over spending tons of money on higher end saws that just bite the dust anyways. I can view the echoes with more of a "disposable" attitude, and the warrantys help a bit too!
I have heard of quite a few pros who use this saw and most seem to enjoy it. Yes it is my daily use saw now. My husqvarna top handle took its final resting place and the new stihl top handle proved worthless. I didnt want to spend another $700 only to be disappointed so I figured I'd spend under $400 and give this guy a go. So far so good. I like its reliability and definitely its price point. I don't like that it is a bit boggy in larger wood. I think with a slight mod of some sort this problem could change. Also, when working in the rain with it it seems that the air filter is easily accessed by the water which causes it to bog a bit. I mostly do pruning and this saw is flawless in that area. I do want to get a 14'' bar though and see how that goes. Over all, I do like it so far. Its been my daily use saw since mid August so we will see how long it lasts. Thanks for the question Larry!
I have a CS2000 , I bought it over 20 years ago, the best saw I’ve ever had. I don’t use on a daily basis, but it is my go to for anything less than twelve inches. Light, well balanced and always starts with one pull when it’s been warmed up. My new saw is a CS-305, cuts faster, but much heavier.
