Been painting for years and will never stop learning better techniques beutiful paint job with those contrasts I might have to stsrt painting with them.
amazing video. I appreciate that you explain how and when to make different decisions about painting a particular part of the miniature. It really helps me integrate your techniques and build upon my current skill level. Much appreciated! Keep up the good work!
I was excited to see another painting video. I mainly use contrast to paint these days so I love watching these and picking up some techniques I can translate into my own painting.
I’m glad I saw this before painting my Ungors. I’ve literally just started these past couple weeks getting into Warhammer Age of Sigmar and I’ve already painted my first couple models, a Bray Shaymon, 2 Chaos Spawn, and 2 Bestigors. I wish I had the same precision you did but not all my brushes are that small and my shaky hands don’t help. But I like this tutorial. I don’t have as many paints as you do so I use the same color of my beastmen’s hair for the leather and wood of the weapons. But I love SnakeBite Leather as the skin tone and using blue for the cloth and armor. Great tutorial I’m definitely gonna keep this one in mind.
Great Tutorial mate - those models were first I ever painted, using contrast. My path started from then and after a time I still got a duplicates of those somewhere lying around so defenitely I will try this tutorial just to check if I improved in a paint manipulation. Cheers and keep providing us great content like this!
Oh wow....aaaand pretty sure this is gonna save my life, since I'm starting a Beasts of Chaos Path to Glory army for AoS! Thank you so much! I've always really dug the more bestial, darkling forest look for Beastmen, and this is totally it! Cheers!
In fact, part of the reason this tutorial method is sooooo perfect, is like you mentioned, it's very open up personalized modifications to it at any and all steps! Like for example, I'm thinking of making my flesh a little (very little) lighter...so I'm thinking Fyreslayer+Medium, just to pale it out a little more. Just random mods here and there, but the overall technique is the same....I love it
@@tabletopandgaming absolutely! In fact, just grabbed the Despoilers today! Great Bray-Shaman is lovely, I'm gonna do a little converting and make Draknar into a Beastlord, and those Ungor boys all have a place in their respective units to come! I'll post pics asap!
Definitely, it's been a while since the last ones so hopefully this summer will see some more coming out - with the new contrasts I'm also eyeing up the Deepkin!
We've looked at it a fair few times but at the moment there are no immediate plans - most of our gaming community don't tend to play GW games so it's trickier to get regular games for content sadly! Though things might change in the future! On the upside, we have a fair few new systems coming post-lockdown!
