In a cascade loop the output of the primary controller goes as set point of the secondary controller . The output of the secondary controller goes to the final control element.

Thanks Kripa for your comment. Have tried to explain the same. The output of the primary controller is its PV which goes to the secondary controller as SV. The PV of the secondary controller goes to the final control element for operation.

Please correct me, if required, PV and output are the different things, But every controller has its Set point, Process value and Output of the controller, So the Output of the Primary controller will become the set point of the secondary controller.
