It is an odd business model, wanting to work with all the people no-one else wants to work with, and all the people who are disgruntled when they are not on top. Sounds like working there would be a proper pain in the cockhole.

If the rumors are true then it looks like Braun had no issues selling his narrative

For once I can’t agree with this take. Braun never did the indies, he only knew WWE and I’m sure his only problem was being released considering he was such a highly paid wrestler in the company I bet it was the last thing he expected. Then Kross is the exact opposite, worked his life to get to WWE, made it and when his big moment came the company folded on him and he ended up gone. Triple H is HIS guy, so why wouldn’t he return now he’s in creative control plus the money? The grass is definitely greener for now for the guys returning to WWE with Triple H in control. I repeat… for now

Braun Strowman was underutilized? He was the single biggest benefactor of the Roman Reigns backlash. If anything he was used better then he would have been other wise.

Love how Strowman was Intercontinental Champion , Universal Champion and pretty well featured for the latter part of his run with WWE but he thinks he was underused or not well booked EC3 yeah he was mistreated but not Strowman

Kind of funny EC3 best moment was when TNA was controlling his narrative. And now he has near to no relevance controlling his own narrative.

I mean, to be fair, EC3 and Braun made their promotion solely and only being disgruntled ex WWE wrestlers who were not getting the attention they deserved or were just literally creatively ruined in WWE. Its was a wrestling promotion literally based on "F the WWE system." At least AEW was trying to be an alternative with some anti-WWE jabs in there, CYN was just literally for controversial ex WWE throw aways and the creatively ruined. Honestly, its best if everybody just leave their jobs without saying any chance of hypocritical messaging if they decide to come back in the future lol

Brawn Strowman and underutilized don't even go together. He was being pushed down our throats at first in those squash matches, and always seemed to be in the mix. Won't say it was always good stuff, but he was on TV more than others who the underutilized tag would apply to like EC3.

To be fair, most of these wrestlers' frustrations or issues were with Vince and not Triple H. Things have already changed for the better in the WWE due to Vince stepping down, so now I'm sure these guys are willing to go back. It's really not a bad move. Money is a necessity and there's absolutely nothing wrong with choosing stable pay.

If CYN just becomes a faction in NWA, it's the same gimmick as Honor No More in Impact... And Honor No More is rubbish except for Vincent. For some reason, I've really warmed to him.

If Strowman comes back to WWE, all of Control your Narrative's Message will just be for Nothing, all the promos C.Y.N has done so far, It would just be for nothing. They are just better off as a Stable.

It's ridiculous how Braun cries about being not used properly. Dude ruined 2 Survivor Series elimination matches and an Elimination Chamber match because Monster ikr. Mostly in main event scenes. MITB winner and a former Universal Champion. Sure it was rough at some spots but it is safe to say that he was still better than how guys like Kevin Owens and Nakamura are treated.

Cody leaving AEW wasnt bad, he got himself written into a corner and chis own decision to not compete for the World title. him, the Bucks, Omega, Jericho and Khan have made it so that even with injuries and a top departure or two, can still roll on happily.

I honestly don’t think Kross cared about anything there other than “it’s another date.” He even said in a couple of interviews after his release “yeah, my main roster run sucked, but I’d go back and give it another try under the right conditions.” Never seemed to me like he cared what the message was, an appearance is an appearance. Plus, Kross was still getting plenty of appearances during the last 9 or so months even with NJPW and was offered an AEW match. And Strowman made himself look like such a tool, he wasn’t getting those dates. Turned down IMPACT, burned a non-existent bridge with AEW by saying TK was messing with them. Tbh, idgaf if what he does, but I do with Triple H threw him in the “do not call” bin with Dream and Ryback. Hopefully Aries is there, too.

It’s kinda starting to become obvious that CYN only became a thing because EC3 simply dislikes the way Vince McMahon used to run wwe. No one is talking about them, they don’t have much content for people to see…it’s starting to become difficult to see this company becoming a success when no one is working there.

Pushing Kross to mainevent scene and bringing back Braun is Triple H way of saying no more part time champions.

Maybe his narrative was to return to WWE to prove them wrong? 😉

Ehhh is this really news? The only person who ever truly believed in CYN was EC3, and even then he first marketed it as a place of career reinvention...granted, most of that reinvention consisted of belly aching about WWE and the current state of wrestling. NWA's one thing, but going to AML for clout? No disrespect to Tracy Myers or Brian Hawks, but AML's an indie hub at best, granted they might be looking to get a piece of Wrestlecade heading into the fall. I don't know how many outside of the state of North Carolina actually know about AML outside of Wrestlecade to be honest, so maybe it would get more eyes than CYN's current product. When this promotion started it was already circling the drain. I can't act surprised that guys like Sherr and Kross would rather do Raw or Smackdown over whatever the hell CYN is outside of EC3's ego trip and a seemingly limited taping schedule. Here's hoping more of the talents involved that are worth their salt get to go back to Papa H when it's all said and done.

The company's message was never legit. They just wanted to be edgy. The basic concept is pretty decent, but the execution.. and the roster.. jeezus!

I always considered it a small indie ran by a wrestler heck he might be allowed to still run it if he goes back to WWE. Like a reality of wrestling, or Memphis as long as it doesn't run shows at the same time and place as WWE, I don't think they care. I never got the hate for CYN, though Adom Sheer has the worst look now just shake bald man.

Not quite sure how this "exposes" anything except that most talent like and trust HHH and are willing to go back to WWE now that it's under a sane leader.

Even Sarah Rowe returned at the 2022 Women's Rumble, which she never signed a full time deal as a result, but the message of CYN basically is that WWE were the bad guys, and nobody should ever want to go there, but yet Sarah was basically still promoted under CYN at the time of her return.

Control Your Narrative was EC3's whiney attempt to be a main eventer when he never was on that level. TNA gave him an inflated ego that was never earned. Derrick Bateman was nothing more than a jobber, and WWEC3 was just a continuation of that same jobber. Over-emoting isn't character development, it's just lame theatre cast-off behavior.

Trips should sign all of them and make CYN a stable… 🤷‍♂️

I think this is overanalyzing the situation. Pro wrestling is a creative endeavor. "Control your Narrative" is a creative product. It's a story, to see how people emotionally respond to it. If people respond positively or negatively, great. (as long as someone buys the product). [I never quite thought that it's own product made a lot of sense, since the narrative overwhelms the individual talent, but as a faction in another company, it's a perfectly servicable gimmick] While sometimes people get annoyed when someone abandons a gimmick, and it can be negative business depending on how it's handled (Austin heel turn), it's markish to criticize them for abandoning the message as if it's a true thing. EC3 has a concept of an overarching storyline/character arc. Bray Wyatt's no longer a cult leader - the criticism is NOT that he's abandoned his true-believer followers!!
