NOTE*** I said “cured” at the beginning of the video. I meant to say “controlled.” Obviously there is no cure for this disease as of yet. But I do believe MOST of us can control it through diet and lifestyle. At the very least we can improve our overall health and limit flare ups. Best of luck on your journey my friends! :)
I have heard doctors say that if your in remission for like 9 years you are authorized to say your cured of it . I am in the similar journey as you and honestly i am off my meds and am doing GREAT !!!! Fasting is the best i agree , this helps also keep using the word cure . :) . I have heard also that it is caused due to a bacteria or virus which triggers Crohns not really autoimmune
I have to say that I threw caution to the wind for many years with my diet. When I finally stopped the processed foods, began eating simply and frequently, cut out the sugar, and got rid of the toxic relationships it changed everything. I dropped 130 lbs, 8 meds, and 4 major medical conditions in a year, on purpose. This has everything to do with what we are putting into our bodies. Great to hear how well you are doing! Awesome. There is hope!
The narrator's initial diet, as described in the context of their journey to cure themselves of Crohn's disease, consisted of the following protocol: ● For the first three days, the narrator ate only brown rice. ● By Thursday, they added steamed vegetables to their diet, still taking supplements and drinking aloe vera juice. ● On the weekend, they started adding plain chicken to their steamed vegetables. The narrator also mentioned that they followed the protocol in the "7 Day Detox Miracle" book, which involved taking supplements such as glutamine, vitamin C, probiotics, and fish oil, and drinking a cup of aloe vera juice before every meal. After starting the initial diet, which consisted of brown rice, steamed vegetables, plain chicken, and supplements such as glutamine, vitamin C, probiotics, and fish oil, as well as drinking aloe vera juice before every meal, the narrator started to feel better and had a lot less pain in their stomach. They then began to wean themselves off their prescription medications and started to put weight back on. Additionally, they started to focus on their fitness and spiritual well-being, which included working out, meditating, and practicing the Wim Hof method.
I saw you shared this in the group can’t wait to watch thank you for your insight! This is what I did before I had my daughter I had a very low appetite but I felt better than I do now I drank a ton of water. But, something happened with my hormones after pregnancy and now I can’t wait between meals :(. I do go to the gym 5 days a week and drink a gallon of water every day and I feel much better.
I’ve heard that from numerous women on the natural path how pregnancy changed things for them. Would be interesting to see studies about exactly what happens and why In the body at that time. 🤔 Good luck!!!
Hi Dan, thanks to share your experience it's a real motivation. I started to discover my Crohn's disease a few months ago and I don't know what can I try to reduce high inflammation? I didn't start yet a properly diet so I guess I need to reduce the inflammation by plants first.
Sorry to hear about your diagnoses! Definitely get that diet cleaned up! I know avoiding wheat, sugar, and dairy is the what helps me. Check out that book the 7 day detox miracle diet to help you get started also. Best of luck to you!!! ❤️
Hi, my daughter was diagnosed with Crohn’s and with so much agony with the pain since the colonoscopy, 40% of her colon is inflamed and want to place her on Stelara infusion but seeing how she weak she has been with simple antibiotics and steroid shots it’s discouraging to go that route and continue to kill her immune. I have tried some of the supplements you mentioned and just bought the book but can you share what brand name of probiotic you use that helped and other ones too. Been giving her kéfir but pill ones have caused her much more discomfort. Anything you can share. Thank you! Both her father and I are so hopeful with your video!! Thank you
That is so sad to hear about her experience with Crohn’s! :( First off, what is her diet like? I would always recommend starting there. It’s been so long since I’ve taken a probiotic I honestly don’t remember the name of the one I started with but VSL#3 has been a good one for me. I would, if the doc is on board, try a bone broth only fast. That’s my go to recovery if I’m having a flare up from a weekend of bad food choices! Lots of vids about doing a bone broth fast and its benefits for the digestive system!!
I’m 22 years old. I got diagnosed this year. I’ve been on prednisone and Budesonide both horrible side effects. Currently I’m on a biologic and I want to get off of it asap. I’m working on learning about what things to eat and not eat so I can hopefully control my crohns naturally just like you🙏🏼 More and more people are revealing how it IS POSSIBLE to become symptom free with these natural holistic approaches. Thank you for this🤎
I drink black and green tea occasionally. I’ve never been a fan of ginger but I’ve heard it helps others! Also I’ve never heard of the BRAT/CRAM diet, I’ll have to look into them!!
This is a great video! Thank you. When you cheat on the weekend, you said you “pay the price”. What does that price look like for you? Do you have flare ups/bleeding episodes or is it more of a bloating and water retention feeling? Asking because I have a 5 year old on Crohn’s meds and we are eager to get him off them asap. Thank you in advance!
Thanks! As long as I am strict on my diet usually weekend binging doesn’t bother me too much… 3-4 days of bad diet, which I seldom ever do anymore, will start with cramping pains and diarrhea. Poor kid!! Only 5?! :(
