Rob most humidifiers have a port on the backside you can open and attach a small hose too. I use a small hose and it goes into a large 5 gallon bucket/tote that I can empty once a day or every other day depending on how the grow shed is going. Check into it for yours and it could give you 3-4x longer between needing to dump your water catch 👌👊

14:19 the back up battery on the digital timers dont act as a generator when the power goes out. It doesnt keep the lights on just keeps the timer device itself in correct time. Eliminating you having to reset the time schedule/pins

Mason jar was actually just harvested last week! She took 12 weeks to flower! I got 19 grams of some pretty gassy/lemon/piney smoke. Next time I am going to veg longer than 2 weeks, and even SCROG it, and shoot for a QP from a mason jar DWC :o)

yo man check out this humidifier, i have the same issues really bad with humidity this one is nice cause you can set it up to like a 55 gallon drum or 5 gal bucket above the grow a 5 gallon bucket last about 2 days so a 55 gal drum could prolly last weeks haha before i was using 2 humidifiers in a 7x7 but with just one of these its been more than enough haha i live in oregon desert basically so its dry basically all year www.amazon.com/Ideal-Air-Commercial-Grade-Humidifier-Pints/dp/B00L2L3OXQ/ref=asc_df_B00L2L3OXQ/?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=&hvpos=&hvnetw=o&hvrand=&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4584413745007049&psc=1

Pigeons was incorrect though. It is NOT a weed. It is an Herb. Weed is actually slang. It gets that because it will grow just about anywhere.. just like a weed. But no.. it isn't a weed.

When my humidity gets really low in the winter , i lower my nutrient strength and increase the volume of each watering. I allow the room to drop to 70 ° lights on to compensate for low humidity. Open air hps grower. I heat the room at night. 65 ° night temps , the heater lowers the humidity at night.

Like my name implies, that's why I love automation. Not to keep me away from my garden but allows me extra time to spend on my plants & soil since I'm not down there measuring & making small environmental changes to keep my room dialed in. Automation has it's place, can be expensive but generally that's because of the type of controller which translates to its reliability. Much love guys really enjoy your content.

I used to have a basic humidifier that just had on and off so when my humidity would get to high I’d try to use my can fan to control the room and it worked but never gave me and consistency. Once I stepped up to a humi that had high low settings so it would shut off at the high and kick on when it hit the low. Then I could keep it dialed. Plus it has a hose so I can run it outside the tent with just the hose going into my vent hole. That thing paired with a space heater with the same high low automated on and off allows me to keep my drying tent a perfect 60/60

If you live in a hot dry climate, try a swamp cooler to cool and add humidity. You want a good one that’s made more for a shop environment. Preferably with a garden hose input. About $250 for a decent one. I screen print and have my tent in the same area, and live in Los Angeles. It gets hot and dry AF. I need humidity to keep my inks from drying in screen. And my tent humidity drops. Swamp cooler is a life saver, and WAY cheaper to run than an AC. No need to put it in the tent. Put it in the room and let the intake on your tent pull the air in.

Since my room is in the basement I have a wood stove across the room from my grow tent, I’ve seen the temperature as low as 18°c in the mornings and a high of 32°c during the day when I had the fire going as well as my fans at a lower speed. Once I got more fans it tends to stay around 28-30°c, Luckily I don’t have to worry about the cold ass Canadian winters 😁 this is only my first grow indoor but my next run will be way better now that I got everything tuned to my liking and have learned a ton from you guys

Rh in veg 65% and temperature 80°. Rh in flower 55% and temperature 75° lower humidity at lights out in flower. I love gardening in the winter. Definitely AC and Dehumidifier runs alot less. ALOT less. Environment is key though. Once I got the good genetics C02 and the environment in check my end product is legit fire now. Awesome video though. Good to hear everyone's feedback on it👍 you can defoliate plants to bring RH down and dont defoilate to keep RH up

What I'm seeing as a 1st time Gromie is the differences between my environmental appliances...I have 5 hydrometers going in my 4x4 tent...my smart humidifier, my Govee smart thermo n Hydro, the AC infinity cloudline sensor n 2 small thermo/ Hydro combos...all read differently!! The Govee I can calibrate but all else I just kinda avg...sometimes they vary as much as 6-7%.

Shit I wished I lived where it’s dry. It’s much easier and cheaper to add humidity than to dehumidify. Great Lakes makes for crazy humidity here.
@canonphoto
@canonphoto 3 года назад
The only problem I had with my AC Infinity 6” is I set the humidity low point on it and when the humidity dropped to that level the unit started beeping and cranked itself up to 10 on the fan trying to correct it bringing in cold dry air making it worse. In the end I just had to set the low point to a level it could never reach, I live in a very dry area but I never add humidity to my grow as the plants transpiration usually keeps things high enough.

The big co2 containers I can’t remember the name right now but they are on Amazon it’s something o2. They are made by the guy at my local hydro shop and there’s different sizes for different tent sizes but they last for up to 6 months. I’ve seen benefits from it with hot temps in the summer and I just set my exhaust fan on a timer for about 3 or 4 times a day

for co2 i really like dry ice its cheap and simple the bags and little bottles are way overpriced-the tanks work very well from what ive seen but the cost is nuts monitor.and yada yada too much .never mind burner units for commercial . i borrowed a co2 monitor to see if the ice helped and it brought my 4x4 tent up from 460 --to 600ppm not a lot but happy with the results put the ice in a 5 gallon bucket i use a whole block lots of 2 inch holes cover with a bag open up at late afternoon or early morning [you chose] or leave it off altogether-blocks are 8$ and last almost a week if left uncovered,hang just above/even with canopy.sorry that was a long comment but you guys really put a positive to the grow you dont put out BS and i love your channels go jets go !!

Humidifier has another option… rather than use the reservoir, you can actually pipe a drain to the exterior as long as your 3/4” or 1” drain has positive slope. Otherwise, you can drain it into an AC Condensate Pump… then you can pump the water “up hill” up to 10’-15’. You aren’t limited to the reservoir on most humidifiers…

Okay now what are you using to control everything. I have been using inkbird iv notice if you keep the humiaty under 65 the probes last longer. I love growing in the winter like you said easy to control most of the time im adding humidity but as soon as the winter shift happens the dehumidifier is running all the time. I have had the worst luck with burning out heaters and humidifiers lol but my timers are all the old school pin and i love them. I believe the most voluble of the terpenes start at 68 degrees so i try to stay under my dry room 62 60 for 14 days low and slow. If you get the big buds and you're worried about mold you can put tongue depressors or something in between the nodes to open them up and get a little air learned that from a breeder. @Mr growit all those are is yeast suger water if you want to just make one and buy the stuff its easy. I use a 2liter to a water bottle all piped together. I also grow a small mono tub in my grow room why not use a natural co2 generator.

Wow, the C02 comments were enlightening, I always assumed most growers used it. I would add, for the cold weather folks with a sealed room (not tent), a natural gas C02 burner adds heat to your room? I had to switch from a burner to tanks so I don’t have to use a/c - food for thought.

Grower's love guys, love your content. Keep up the great work! About cannabis as a weed though . . . it's not. Horticulturally, a weed is a plant growing where it is not wanted. From what I can find, the term "weed" in regards to cannabis originally meant the way of smoking it, not the plant itself. The word first appeared as a synonym for "marijuana cigarette" around 1929. Gotta love google, lol. And an emphatic yes to a from the stash twitch channel!

Can you do it Lots of us still try to do just that. Even with a leaky old tent and some do get very leaky with proper cleaning. Lots of people get problems but keeping a dirty tent anything can grow on a dirty tent fabric.

tell the people when the RH is below 30%, rapid transpiration makes the plant think its in the desert and closes the stomata slowing the uptake of water and nutrients which is where people end up with rotted roots because they continue to water as if the plant is uptaking at a regular rate... HUMIDITY IS THE KEY.
