While for a gen student's family having salary of 40k per month have to give 12-13 lakh for 4 years
To all students aspiring for IIT Bombay and respected sir, I am resident of same hostel 12 where this incident take place. This news covering is factually wrong in many place to show that discrimination happen.First,that was not canteen ,that is mess. Second there is more than 60 table are in mess area and only 6 are reserved for vegetarian ,because that 6 table are in front of jain food distributing table and everyone knows about how simple jain food are. So,I request you don't defame it. Media and news channels ,they know very little about ground reality but still they want to get views on basis of that.Think about whole picture and positive side.

Milk is vegetarian but the aftermath is very heinous. For example, the dairy you see next to you, impregnate cows artificially and due to that they had to forcefully give birth to calves and cows. In modern day cow has utility but calves don't serve anything so they either left on the road to die with hunger/road accidents or they are sent to slaughter houses. Even cows, which get old, meet the same end. Population of cows is increasing because of this artificial impregnation in order to meet our day to day need. That is why vegans are shouting to stop having dairy product. Slowly and steadily we can bring change. We can reduce dairy items. A lot of people then say that milk gives us nutrients, but then you should understand that milk is the substitute for a complete meal and it doesn't form part of complete meal. It is meant for calves and some for our need. Regulate its consumption, if you cannot stop completely.

Eating non-veg isn't a personal choice because it is going to affect vegans and vegetarians too. You are a great environmental damage, which no one is talking about. Just read about GHG emissions that meat producing factories possess. The amount of deforestation that takes place, for making these factories is having greatest environmental impact one can ever think of! no offense to IIT students but IIT was formed not to serve India but to serve the US or say West.. They know that India got pool of talent.. but this talent or intellect is not serving India.. they are serving MNC's... always there are few honorable exceptions to what I mentioned... but such exceptional people are rare... Most of the IITians don't join IIT or IIM to serve India and her subject... They are allured by fat salaries and perks offered by MNCs .. don't attached name India with it ...Why India has subsidized IIT IIM education?? or is it run by foreign funding till date?? right now there is narrative building going on in US universities against IIT IIM .. they have set the narratives that there is a cast discrimination against SC ST etc...
