A good interview. I think that rabbi Shlomo was a follower of Rabbi Zalman Shachter, with many non halachic traits of conduct.

Reb Shlomo and Reb Zalman were both Sheluchim of the previous Lubavitch rebbe for a period after which they each proceeded In their different directions. Shlomo didn’t follow anybody, although he was close to a lot of people. Additionally, I knew Reb Shlomo and he didn’t transgress Halacha, though he had taken positions about women prayer and singing that differed with some conventions of the time. We should enjoy their legacy and be grateful for their contributions.
