Turn into a decimal. If 2.54 cm = 1 inch, then 7/8 of an inch is equal to how many centimeters? 1st. Turn 7/8 inch into a decimal...7 divided by 8 = .875 inch 2nd. Multiply into our coversion factor (2.54 cm) to convert to centimeters. 0.875 inch x 2.54 cm = 2.2225 cm
Uncle Bryce Yeah that's fine and dandy BUT it doesn't help me figure out why you went right and not left to figure this out... is it because mm is less than cm on the Metric System?
inches are such a stupid measurement. centimeters goes like this : 1 cm =10milimeters , 100 cm or 1000 milimeters =1 meter. 1000 meters = 1 kilometers, so easy. not that stupid 1/8 ,1/6 etc. is that even accurate ?
