Converting your linen pants into shorts is a practical solution for the hot summer days. However, there is no reason to throw away the pieces of fabric you cut away. If you choose the right kind of trousers for the project, you can easily convert the remaining pieces into another pair of shorts. Make sure your trousers are wide enough throughout the leg pants. More precisely, the width of each leg pant should be at least ¼ of your hip measurement+4cm (in the narrowest part). The wider, the better. This sewing project requires basic knowledge of sewing and it only takes a few hours.
You will need:
a sewing machine
thread of the same color as your pants
scissors
chalk
pins
