Convert 30fps Video to 60fps Guide Using Hybrid "Easy" 

Hello if anyone has a problem of the filter settings not showing click on the Filtering Tab and down the bottom right you will see Support and change from Vapoursynth to Avisynth which should fix the problem

Here's a small tutorial for those experiencing problems, for the beginning I'm sure you've gotten that right, so in x264, (make sure you don't have x265 unless you render at that codec or else conversion may fail.) make sure in bitrate, it's set to your videos actual bitrate. (or else it'll fail.) To do this, right click on the video in your windows explorer, click properties, then go to details, and look until you find total bitrate, type this EXACT value into the bitrate section of the x264 tab, then hit enter. Now, head to AviSynth and go to Frame, now before you complain about Frame not being available, make SURE you have AviSynth selected, confused? Look around until you find a drop down box that is set to VapourSynth, change this to AviSynth, and then. Follow everything else the dude says in this video after that and you're done! (Make SURE that if you have an AntiVirus, that it is disabled during the process. If your conversion will take over an hour, you can keep your Antivirus on until it's about to finish. Which it will need to be disabled.)

If you guys are having trouble processing a new video after the first time or any other time, just clear your previous videos from the "Jobs" tab. Also, thanks Eyerex for the upload :)

Hey, how do I set it up to convert only part of the video? I can't find the option to do that. It's a pain converting 20 mins clips as a whole when I need only 1 minute of it. Thanks for tutorial by the way.

For anyone saying Avisynth is grayed out! At the bottom of the Avisynth tab, change the Support: option from Vapoursynth to Avisynth. Eyerex, show some love and pin this

Thanks to your video, I converted a video sample of Tekken 3 Arcade intro rom 15 fps in 60 fps. Only downside was that the video length was two seconds shorter than the original and I don't know why. Thanks alot for your guide!

I Can't go to frame

Thank you for the tutorial, for some reason, MeGUI refuses to work on my PC (always shut down/crash half-way through the process) while Hybrid works like a charm. Now I don't have to worry about PS4 records video only at 30FPS anymore. :D

Thanks lad, I always seem to delete my programs that let me get 60 FPS and have to look them back up all the time. I've watched one of your older videos, so as soon as I saw that GTA V file, I knew it was one of your videos again haha

Program doesn't allow me to access the avisynth tabs. Does avisynth need to be pre-installed?

How come it only lets me do small clips but not something that is like...10 minutes or so?

That's one big installer. It took me 1.5 seconds to download! Can't believe it. Took forever even on a gigabit connection.

If you have the problem of not being able to start a new job have a look in the Jobs Tab then Misc and there's an option to Delete jobs when finished

Tried this but it seemed to be taking longer than megui for the same file and i checked GPU to speed it up.

Hey, Eyerex! So the software got an update and I was hoping you could do an updated "How To" Video!

Hello all just worked out why sometimes there's no audio in the converted video and it's down to the container ie MP4 but if you change to MKV it's ok so to change the output to MKV on the main menu click the Config Tab / Output / Container Settings and on the left you will see Standard Output Container and in the drop down menu change to MKV and everything should work PS will find out why there's a problem with MP4 and see if there's a fix

Does the video have to be 30fps in order to convert to 60fps, can the video be 27fps?

Hey, Eyerex. So if you have a look at your converted GTA 5 gameplay video, down where it states the area you just entered (at least I assume so, I don't really know GTA 5) I've noticed a bit of stuttering / ghosting in all text areas of the video with that one being the most noticable. This effect is just as well present in the videos I happen to convert. Is this a normal thing when it comes to converting framerates? Or has the patch for Hybrid released on April 8th fix this? I've used MeGui to convert a few home movies I've made into 60fps, I never noticed any stuttering on the few areas with text. And I haven't noticed it in premiere.. So I'm assuming it's Hybrid exclusive..

I can't install avisynth plugin. I'm on mac with wine installed. When I tried the download link it loaded as an .txt file so I just removed the extension and extracted the 7z. Corrupted? I also tried to run the installer on my virtual computer and a terminal(I think) with texts pops up and closes right away.

trying this now, looks great hope it works for me as well. im just tired of 1080p videos that cant work on my laptop so i download 480p videos and convert them now to 60 fps from 30. will update post when i see finished product.

Hey Eyerex, try DaVinci Resolve which works really well and converts video to 60 with audio as well. I would love it if you experimented with this - if you haven't done already and post your results in maybe a comparison video with Hybrid & MeGUI.

So I've been using MeGUI for a while, but I've started to get that issue again where it wouldn't finish compiling the data into a single video and would leave a folder with video, audio and avisynth script files. I can't figure out how to fix it this time so I tried Hybrid. Hybrid works, however what I liked about MeGUI is that I can do batch processing with an entire folder full of videos whereas with Hybrid it looks like I can only do 1 video at a time. Is there a way to process multiple videos in a row with Hybrid? I can see a tab labeled "Jobs" in which you can see videos in queue but I'm not sure how to add multiple videos to the queue.

So I tried converting multiple files and I got a message that said 3 outputs vs 1 output. Also when they finished, the status of the first video said finished but the rest said "crashed finished".

So if the game you recorded runs at 30fps, do you have to set the bitrate at 30000, even if the Elgato captures 60fps?

If i tick "GPU" under Filtering > Avisynth > Frame it closes after about a second and doesn't do anything. Output doesn't mention any error either. Do i need to select my gpu from some other place?

ok well I saw your below comment. deleting a completed job on the list made it work again. Shit still takes hours for a 20 mins anime episode. What type of rig are you running this on that it takes you 20 mins only for that vid?
