Thanks so much!! I just made this, and can't wait to give it to a new baby I know! I did switch out Velcro for the snaps, and stitched the binding entirely by machine (old hands won't let me hand-bind). Your directions are excellent - I had no trouble at all, even with the zipper!
What am I doing wrong. Once I put the zipper on, the left flap is short. 50 inches wide quilt. 18 inch zip x 2= 36, That only leaves 14 inches left for flap on the left? Should the quilt be 60 inches wide.
Love everything except the snaps...prefer fabric ties - they'd be much safer and more secure - less likely to be swallowed by babies if any of them come loose (it happens, believe me, I'm a nurse!). BTW, how can you sew anything comfortably with all that metal stuff around your hands...sorry, but it really looks weird! Good video, tho. Thanks for sharing. Gave you a thumbs up!
