In this math lesson, we learn to use division to convert fractions into their decimal form. This video uses the rapid short division method, where we simply divide the denominator into the numerator (top divided by bottom).
This math video lesson also looks at recurring and non recurring decimals that can result from calculating fractions.
It is also a similar method we use to convert fractions to decimals and then percentages - to do this we convert the fraction to the decimal as explained, then we multiply by 100 to change to a percentage.

Keep the one whole (this does not need to be changed as with fractions and decimals we are describing part numbers). Then the two thirds is 2 divided by three, or 0.6666 recurring. So with the 1 we have 1.666 recurring.

8 goes into 3= 0 times 8 goes into 30= 3 times remainder 6 8 goes into 60= 7 times remainder 4 8 goes into 40= 5 times hence the answer 0.375 He's doing long division in an abbreviated form...

Got it Josh!! Sorry for asking bit of a silly question… 🤦🏽‍♂️ Answer from goggle; The dividend (number being divided) is inside the 'bus stop'; the divisor (what the dividend is being divided by) is outside the 'bus stop'; answer obviously on top. 👍🏽 Keep up the great work my man!
