Yo Guys, lot of people are having issues with the latest version of this software ver 3.5.1.0 where people are downloading the software but its does not launch. So i am uploading the setup file for the version that I have installed on my system version 3.4.8.7 - 64 BIT. Check the RU-vid description for the google drive link. Cheers.

Some extra detail into what is happening here: xmedia recode is a front end for ffmpeg. Changing the file container format without reencoding it is called "remuxing". So this video is showing you how to remux mkv to mp4 with ffmpeg + a GUI front end. It can also be done in command line, but the speed should be roughly the same.

wow, had the settings to convert... and well my cpu was burining and it had to konvert for an hour... then this man came and changed 100% CPU to 10% and 45min into 25 sec this works and I recomend it to everyone thanks randome indian guy, this was a huge help ;)

It worked but my TV still did not recognize the new mp4 file so I found a workaround. When in the video tab keep it as "convert" instead of changing it to "copy" and leave all other video settings below that alone. When in audio click "copy" like you described and follow all your other instructions. The conversion this way takes 4 times longer but in the end the resulting video file plays in everything for me now and I can't tell any major quality difference. Thank you for the video!

Yes I have experienced this too. The most likely the reason is you (like me) 'copied' a x265 codec into mp4. MP4 & MKV can support both the x264 & the newer x265 codec, TV's (even in 2022) tend not to support the x265 codec. Hence the need to convert a x265 file to x264 and not simply do a 'copy' of the video codec.

@@AdityaRedsBTS but there's a problem.. The issue is 1080p file is not smoothly running in my pc.. It's an mkv file.. So when I converted it (only a quarter portion of the file) to mp4 in vlc and I played the file with vlc it worked smoothly.Then I applied your method for converting the full file...the file was converted but it's not working smoothly with vlc.. The same problem persists...it's only working when I convert using vlc which may take a day... It's a movie.. Is there any solution?? Help

What is this magic? How is this so hidden? I am stunned by the speed of conversion. I was really skeptical, but I loaded the file (previously .mkv) in Premiere Pro and everything works perfectly. This is 100x faster than VLC, Cloudconverter and Wondershare if they all combined forces. I don't understand how this can even be a thing, this is Pied Piper level shit. If you're watching this video in 2022, or 2023, you don't even need to convert anything from MKV to MP4. DaVinci Resolve 2022 or Filmora 2022 can import MKV files just fine without any workaround

It was to "magical" to be true. The change of extension was done, but it could not be recognized (and played) by my TV USB player, what was the main reason to do the conversion. Seems to be a problem with the HECV compression. The "conversion" described i ths video just change the container from MKV to MP4.That's why it is so fast. Thanks anyway

This worked for me! This is a huge help, thank you for this video. When I tried the first time, the video came out silent, but converting the audio instead of copying seemed to fix the problem without slowing it down.
