Again, your channel provides super interesting content that is really difficult to find somewhere else. Keep them coming ! Regarding including only one round of revisions before going to master and charge an extra fee for extra rounds of changes… I totally agree in theory but never really managed to apply this in real life.. I find that most vídeo projects actually require more than one round of corrections in order to be able to reach a certain level of quality .. of course that depends on the complexity of the project, but that has been my experience so far.
Thank you! Yeah I agree with you here. We have found that including the clause is better than not including it for the reason that it forces the client to consolidate all of their feedback carefully before coming back to us. The worst is when they submit feedback on Frame.io, but then follow up the feedback with a few emails a couple days later with more changes. Also for a lot of our commercial work we take the liberty to get our edits really close to being finished for the first draft. The base colour grade, along with sound design and music is all there, so it doesn't leave a lot to the imagination for the client. What do you think?
@@JoshuaKirkNZ I totally agree and I also provide edits that already include music and sound design, aswell as basic color which definitely helps reducing the amount of comments .. In general, client comments-management in an understated part of the job of a filmmaker, indeed. All this say I put in price offer that there are two rounds of corrections included.
Nice mate! This looks a bit slicker than Tave which is what I’m currently using. The Xero connection has me wondering if this will work better for me too as Tave isn’t linked. How seamless is the integration?
The integration was a little clunky when we first set it up with it randomly disconnecting for some projects but it feels good now. To be honest there are a lot of jobs we don't have it setup because of how some accounts work but it's a nice to have feature.
