They do that in England or they did when I was in school it’s not fun to watch but the videos they showed us all came from the US not from England I couldn’t figure out why at the time
@@saulgster I have no idea really but the videos showed older cars big chevys and fords they had to have been filmed in later 60s early 70s and most of the accidents were on the instate highways and high speed accidents I guess they were trying to get us to slow down and back in them days England probably was not advanced enough to film something like that
Was looking to be a firefighter few years ago and I changed my mind when I really thought about all the things they see on a daily basis.. I don’t think I would be able to handle it. Hats off to every single fireman, thank you for having the guts to do what you do
I used to be a firefighter, and you are absolutely right my friend. They don't prepare you for the gruesome inhumane and unthinkable things you will see day in day out. It does take a toll on one's mental health for certain. I've seen lots of things I wish I hadn't, but do you want to be yelling for help or "the" help ?
@@firefighterdavenport7250 oh definitely takes a toll on mental health, when I was in EMT school I remember one of the current firemen instructors mentioning that after some horrible scenes they would have group meeting for those that needed to talk about what they just seen. Show this raw footage to teens in high school Drivers ED Build powerlines for work. For a car to wrap around a pole Like this one. He had to be going 70+ Dangerous for rescue crews to even Work under all that suspended hazards above their heads. That transformer and pole were ready to come down.
Not really because their equipment has grounding qualities. My cousin is fire che if in Mission Tx. They also use cranes to hold the poles most of the time and a lot the wires are fine to hold the pole u til highwaire crews can get there. They usually arrive next day
I remember I had to go to traffic school for going 5 over the speed limit on the freeway and yeah they do show clips like these but way more brutal. Completely mangled bodies of drunk drivers with brain coming out the skull

This is just sad. You can see the guy move a bit in the beginning but you can tell its fatal by how badly the s2000 was crushed. RIP to the driver and prayers for the passenger 🙏
the one moving was the passenger that was extracted and taken to the hospital it says the impact was so hard the steering wheel and column were pushed to the passenger side
Respect the car and listen to it. The s2k is an amazing vehicle, but it can do this if you aren't paying attention. If you didn't grow up with cars pre-stability control and own this car, it's a great idea to get into a large empty area (and I mean NO cars or poles) and learn to steer into these oversteers to regain control. Unfortunately, the instinct is to steer against the spin to try to control it, but that just breaks the front tires loose. Anyone who has driven on ice is probably expert in this sort of thing. The only issue with steering into the spin to regain control is if you don't have enough room to recover.

I don't think you should need to see someone's body like that to feel better about your own driving. No ones death should be publicized so that people who knew them could see them in those painful last moments.

For the comments below. They did show the driver. He was wearing the black shirt and the firefighters checked his pulse and moved on. What you saw as movement was the passenger moving around while the dead driver was leaning on him. Nothing else. The passenger was wearing a blue colored plaid shirt which you see further into the video. Someone below said the driver wasn't visible. Yes he was unfortunately.
So the car was a right hand drive car, so the guy wearing the blue colored plaid shirt was the driver and the passenger who passed away was wearing the black shirt. Really unfortunate.

I deal with accidents in chicago on a daily basis. I seen bad ones but to see the passenger pulled out if that wreckage and b alive is a blessing hopefully he makes full recovery. Gotta commend these firefighters for saving ppl in these horrible situations!

Yup, if someone has not driven on track they do not know their car. Best to just drive on track, I never really drive my car fast on the street again. I am getting a regular pickup truck to drive around normally and then just setting up my Honda for track only. The track is the best experience and much safer than driving your car on the street.
What a horrific accident this was my Lord. My prayers from Ohio go out to the one that lived and to the family of the one that was lost. My golly just breaks your heart. Speeding just gets you know where but dead at times.
This video should be used to show kids the consequences of speeding (if he was speeding). To hit a pole so hard that the steering wheel was in the passengers face, is just insane. Hopefully his friend will survive, not only to shine a light on what happened, but to attend his friends funeral. WOW 🥺
Let's be real here. Even if the passenger survives, he will live the rest of his life in that irreversible damages done to his body, and the insane medical bills on top on it. Plus, someone else will probably need to take care of him. Don't engage in stupid things.

Please drive safe. I almost did this to myself and my wife years ago when we were younger and dumber.... Having too much fun in a red convertible. We literally landed with the car on it's edge... straight up and down. As we lost control and went flying through the air I remember thinking to myself "I just killed myself and my wife in the DUMBEST way possible! This was STUPID!!"... Never again. If you feel the urge to push the limits PLEASE go to a closed course. RIP to the driver. ✌🏿
I race cars but I do it on a course. I'm too grown to be doing it, in the middle of town like when I was a kid. It's not smart. I will continue to go ape shit on the track on Sundays tho, where it's legal, and there is tons of wide open land to slide into if you lose control

I've seen a lot of these TC's working for CDF back in the day. To get through seeing all that trauma, we would make jokes after leaving the scene. It helped us emotionally so we could get ready for the next call. This goes on day after day, it never ends.

Rip to the driver and the family. I saw my friend die the same way, he was in a convertible Corvette as a passenger. Driver lost control doing 120 and hit a wall sideways. I saw the drivers hand get cooked by the engine and his jaw was cut by the windshield along with a dislocated leg and broken ribs and jaw, I thought he was dead as he was not conscious and bleeding bad. My friend that died was the passenger and he was wearing his seat belt and was talking to me as I walked up to the car, he had brain damage and died in front me. Don’t speed and be cautious when driving.

I was a former civilian employee for a SoCal Sheriff's Dept. A portion of my admin job was processing vehicle traffic collision reports of all levels, minor, major, and fatal. Requesting parties were attorneys and car insurance agents, private parties involved in the t/c. I was exposed to the graphic photos of the fatals, and that experience built up a developed character in me I thought I'd never achieve. However, it was an office job. The level of trauma I thought I felt, is small in comparison to the first responders to the actual scene! I give my utmost respect to all the paramedics, law enforcement, and fire dept., and my prayers for the deceased man in this video, and for his grieving family! 🙏😥💔

The driver is the one that passed away according to the reports. It wasn’t a RHD vehicle, the crash was just that significant. People tend to forget that convertibles are less rigid in a crash because there’s no roof to help with structural support.
Lord please comfort the families and friends of these two young men , and I pray the survivor recovers soon. This is tragic and I send my deepest condolences 💐. So very sorry . Please people ... slow down and drive safely. 🙏
not just these but all cars sporty in nature (brz/frs/86 and maybe the fiesta st as well) because it is the car's ability to rotate that gets inexperienced drivers into trouble. Also, from experience, lowering a car without making other adjustments makes them more prone to loosing grip.

I just got home from a drive in my AP1 - Beach blvd to Whittier - then i see this, SMH. I smash, and run Camaros, Mustangs and what not, BUT i always make sure there are no cars around and it is safe for both cars - I wont run if i feel it is not safe, which is almost always. BTW, I'm always down to go for a ride- let me know.
Damn! I street raced for almost 8 years on the street, I thank god everyday that I was fortunate to walk away from 3 accidents. & to grow older and have a family & some what walk away from racing, without anything serious happening like that. I’ve seen bad accident and knew a few people that crashed and died from it. It’s a dangerous thing. Putting yourself and other innocent people at risk for injury or death. I wouldn’t recommend it to the youngsters coming up now days. Don’t do it. It’s not worth it.
This is sad and extremely scary. I myself do also unfortunately not know how to go slow, unless I have my beautiful little girl with me in the car. But seeing footage like this always plays again in my mind when I'm driving alone and feel that I might be going a bit fast. But I also need to add seeing the way the fireman responding in such a calm and professional manner is something that we in South Africa is not use to at all. He seems like such a humble man. Take my hat off to anyone in this line of work, but I put it back on for those corrupt scumbags that misuse their power of authority.
I know this is news but it’s horrible to video moments like this in someone’s life or last moments for the friend....no one wants to see a video of their family member like this....hope the passenger taken away makes a full healthy recover. Condolences for the driver’s loved ones.
I was in a similar accident to this recently, except i was going the speed limit thru a intersection and someone turned infront of me causing me to go head on into a pole. Thankfully my injuries were mild compared to this. Really is just a rude awakening that driving is a privilege and responsibility and not everyday is promised to you.
Why the hell are you showing a dead body like that? So disrespectful! How would you like to see your loved one dead on a video where somebody’s making money off of it? I come from a TV news background where I spent 20 years shooting death and destruction but never once did I ever show a dead body as blatantly as you did.
To those who keep insisting that the car was righthand drive, NO. This is just what happens when you're going way too fast and connect with a pole or a tree. Something to consider next time you're feeling squirrely. Think about your passenger, and whether or not they'll have to sit there with your dead body on top of them until rescuers can free them. A wreck like this happened a block from my house, a year or two ago. A guy and his girlfriend. She lived, but he was so mangled and tangled up in the wreckage that they tarped the whole mess, after she was freed, put it on a flatbed, and took it elsewhere to scrape what was left of him out of the car. In the meantime, he was essentially in her LAP.
So unfortunate & sad. I have the same car. A few years back during a rain storm a lady spun out into my lane & i had to swerve to avoid being hit which caused my car to hydroplane & it wrapped around a lamp post like this. Luckily, i was only going 45 mph & the car saved my life & i walked away with very minimal injuries. I bought another s2000 after. This car is called the widow maker for a reason. Very sorry to see anyone lose their life. My condolences to the drivers family & i hope the passenger recovers well

I used to drive a tow truck and I remember when I worked a Fatality wreck, when a guy was a half mile from his house when his Honda S2000 Convertible went through a Fence and ripped his Throat out. Sad R.i.P prayers for the family and friends to the guy in this Wreck
no need to blur the dead and the injured, this has to be shown in every high school and university if we want to reduce this kind of accident. thank you, after watching this, every time I drive my car, especially on a long drive, whenever I feel sleepy or lost focus, I remember this kind of video and make me just go to the rest area and have a good nap.. 15 minutes of a good nap can make a difference and when some stupid asshole try to tempt me to race, I remember these guys...nope, I don't want if I survive the crash have to endure what this passenger has to endure, stuck next to your dead friend.
