In pattern keeper, you can click on the magnify/spy glass and hit the symbol on your canvas and it’ll highlight all that symbol and move the chart on the right to that DMC. You’ll then click on the highlighter to mark them off.

Pattern Keeper is definitely a life saver. I’m working on a Heaven and Earth Designs pattern. I originally used an emulator on my laptop to “emulate” the android version of Pattern keeper on my Windows laptop which I can then bring up in my iPad (I won’t go into the process - too complicated for here) but it was a process. So I, too, just broke down and got a cheap Android tablet just for Pattern Keeper. What a game changer. (And then I can still use my iPad to watch YT videos as I work on my diamond painting. Can’t wait to see you work in this. You sure are fast. Wow.

I just found your video but I wish I would’ve found it sooner. I’m a DPer and a cross stitcher. I’m glad you found PK but if you want to use your Apple device you can always try Markup R-XP. It’s really good! I look forward to seeing your progress. I’m hoping to convert a cross stitch stitch chart into a diamond painting in the near future.

Love this project and the learning process. I converted a cross stitch pattern to a diamond painting last year. Then DAC released that same pattern as a diamond painting. 😆 I did the same thing and bought an inexpensive tablet just for pattern keeper. It is a must have! I’ve heard of some ppl using Adobe Reader and marking the pattern off as they go but it doesn’t sound as user friendly. For my next conversation I have to try Jade’s drills. She didn’t have a shop when I ordered mine. I hope you to continue to enjoy the process & find your groove. It definitely requires more brain power & can be a bit tiresome. ~ Kel

It’s because there is only one person who is designing pattern keeper. It is still technically a beta app since she is still making updates and tweaking the app. Apple has more stringent requirements for apps that it may never come to Apple.

Instead of hunting for the symbol from the list, I just work my way down the list on the side from the top, any that it finds it will highlight the symbol in whatever sections you have visible, you then place much quicker.

Hi, I have a link in my description to the one I got. It has worked great so far. It isn’t a name brand so I’m not sure what to call it 🤣 it’s a little more expensive than when I bought it, but it was the holiday time so it might have been on sale.
