The amount that I've been BINGING you and Scott the past week or so, my list of ideas is exploding and so is my shopping list of supplies. I love seeing you guys encouraging each other. And I mean BINGING, too. Like 8 or more hours of content a day just between your two channels.
Just got my first Knight. I had no fear when I bought him. Now, things are different... Fortunately, facing fear leads to greatness. Thanks for showing me the way :)
At the beginning I kept thinking....did this guy actually score a voice over from Cate Blanchett? Dude seriously the person you got to do the VO work is incredible. Oh and the mini looks good too and stuff lol.
Well took three years. I have now built primed and base coated the knight I promised my fiancé (who bought me the kit a few days after this came out) I would complete when I had learned enough and practiced enough for me to be happy with my work. Thank you Miniac. A real journey !
Epic maxi miniature, epic video and epic into, I only could say.....BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOOD!!! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!!! LET...THE GALAXY....BURNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't forget to check out the 100K subscriber charity event armies! The names of the armies are "Conjurers of the Crystal City", "Order of Our Lady of Justice", "The Static Cacophony", and "Retribution for Lost Nova". You can find them here: www.novaopenfoundation.org/2020-raffle
Damn! When I heard your Renegade Knight Tales on the podcast I didn't think you were working on such a huge video! You're goddamn right I'm getting popcorn. pause the video I'll brb edit: aight back. I've got my 2l Dr Pepper and popcorn. Entertain me scott.
I just got into Warhammer a few weeks ago, I've purchased the Canis Rex. But good god am I waiting to paint it after watching it. I can't put such a disservice to this model with my beginner painting skills. i'll work through my ork and space wolves army first then move onto this bad boy. but this video got me excited. incredible work. inspiring.
I found that added a gloss coat helped immensely for both adding decals, and oil washes. The oil wash applied through an airbrush is called a filter, at least in model railroading terms. ^_^
I love how well this video has been made, I always have it in the background when I paint, and has inspired me to spend my 14th bday money to make a knight of my own! Thanks Scott!
Miniac - Here is a new, magnetic painting handle I'm using.... 25:26 - Miniac is making sure that painting handle stays 'fingerprint free' by holding the model he's painting.
Holy shit that lotr style intro was friggin‘ good! The shots, the edits, the Galadriel voice of the narrator - awesome! And yes yes, the rest of the video was freaking awesome too but dat intro tho
7 months on and I still keep coming back to this. Not just for the advice when I do my own but because of the production quality and just how damn interesting/entertaining it is
I headbutted that subscribe button so hard they felt it 28,000 years in the future on Mars! Oh wait... did I just cause the Death of Innocence? MINIS!!!!
I feel like I should close my channel, there is just no way I can get anywhere near this level of professional video production. I feel like I'm watching something on Netflix! Awesome work on that knight too, I just love that conversion work.
This is seriously the best produced miniature related video on the planet. There are so many things I wanna say about this video, but I’m gonna just sum it up with one word: EPIC!
This inspired me to work on my own chaos knight using a standard knight kit. It's my first time working with green stuff... I don't know how I feel about it just yet.
There are many painting tutorials on youtube - but your videos go beyond that. They are art, entertainment. Not the relaxing start painting usually has, but exciting. Most painters draw my attention because of their detailed depiction of techniques, some because of the calm atmosphere they create... I watch Miniac to see what the heck the video starts with (and to scream at the end). It gets me pumped and excited and sometimes this is exactly what I need to grab my tools and some models. Piece of advice: use scalpels after the exciting intro is through...
This is so good im actually trying to find a fault in the paint job, but cant, at every angle, at every aspect, perfection, this is a new top notch standard for all the rest of us to try and achieve and strive for. A masterpiece. Like the Omega particle in ST.
A couple of tips for decals: They go down really well over a gloss surface, even for a matte finish, a common practice being to lay down a gloss coat or three before decaling, another coat before washes, then a few flat coats to flatten it down. Second, never, ever, EVER use Micro-set and Micro-sol with Tamiya decals, they really don't agree (I'm speaking from experience as an aircraft model-maker).
This is sick as shit, man. Excellent work. Also, you probably could have kept the dong-shaped fleshy bit on the one weapon, and blamed Slaanesh. It IS a Chaos knight, after all.
