cool it on the plastic glue. the more you use, the longer it takes to dry on real nibbly bits you can use a TINY dot of super glue then once its set, go around the seam with a small bead of plastic glue (this is where tamiya thin works) and it will chemically weld the 2 parts together.
Thank you for this video my cousin plays necrons and seems to believe that kitbashing is not something that is possible as a space marine player i do it all the time hopefully i can show him this and give him some ideas for something that looks unique not just an out of the box basic model 😁
thanks for the video. saw many conversions over at Reddit, but seeing the step by step process in a video is always better than following image tutorials
Had this video saved and planned on doing this for over a year and now with 10th it turns out the reanimator might be decent! Lesson learned, procrastinate and things will turn out okay.
Using a space marine codex as a cutting mat? You usually have to go to the dark web to see such deprived acts on video... ;) Awesome conversion though!!!! :D
I just made one and thank you for the Tutorial! I just might use the cabling from the spare parts and figure out some areas to blend them into the over all or hide the leg joints.
Some suggestions. Pin the two rods after you snip the pegs to hold them together. Also if you have the right drill size drill holes in the body to put the ball leg sockets into the holes and position them.
Great tutorial Mikey! Subs numbers might be off as people could be watching via browsers that they haven't signed into, e.g RU-vid app on firesticks...
The fist is a part of the Reanimator base! Everything I use in the tutorial is from the Reanimator kit, the only bit that isn’t is the praetorian parts for mandibles :)
I have made a few of these now. Main differences in mine is I didn't add the extra segments to the front legs, and I used the tip of a warrior flayer for the teeth. You should have millions of these spare. Anyway, here is how they turned out, and a few alternative weapon options (all from Indomitus spares) www.reddit.com/r/Necrontyr/comments/kdmiux/evolution_of_the_reanimator_spyder_conversion/?
both want to do this and dont at the same time lol. I have 2 spyders, really want a third, and 3 reanimators. Problem is i feel like Reanimators will suddenly be a "bring 3 or bust" the moment they actually fix the damn unit.
Great idea, but one of the most frustrating tutorials I've seen. You don't show clear directions of what you're doing, sometimes it's not even in the center of the screen, and then you fastforward so there's no chance to see exactly what you've done. I get that I'm supposed to improvise, but I don't see how it hurts to show exactly how you cut and fit things.
