Converting SHIPPING CONTAINER Into 2 Bedroom Cabin | Ready For Drywall

If you have a lot of fruit on your peach tree, you should thin them out before the fruit fills out. The branches of a peach tree are not as strong as you might think, and you don't want to damage the trees.

A small tip for all large surfaces. Do not make them seamless finishes. Leave shadow grooves every so often, plus corner joints. When you move the container you will end up with cracks along the 'hidden' joints.

My suggestion, for what it’s worth, put the wood on your bedroom walls with all the windows - very pretty. Drywall the kids room so when they scribble on the walls it can be fixed easily. 👍

Don't know how far you've gotten at this point, but doing a wood accent wall would not only bring in the wood element, but celebrate it because it would be accented, and because it would be a smaller area, you could get really creative with how it goes in. It could be a cool chevron (sorry Spencer) or any other pattern -- doesn't just have to be straight, stacked or side-by-side boards. When you're working with a smaller area, the options are actually much larger. You two crack me up with the wood. I mean, I don't know what else you could call it, but so funny! Also, the kids are growing like crazy! Oh my goodness! Time is flying! Seems like I just started watching you guys yesterday, but it's been years! Feel like I'm in a time warp! Keep up the good work!!

We stayed in a cabin in the Smokey mountains and when we walked in the door I was amazed,it was all wood ,it looked like it was coated with a light honey colored varnish,absolutely beautiful ❤

You can tell by the acoustics that room you're in is so well insulated.

Great job Spencer. I would suggest that if you’re planning to put up the drywall before the move, don’t mud because if there’s any flex in the container, all the joints will crack and the screws might pop. Otherwise I like the progress.

I agree with the plan to have wooden ceilings. The look is a change of pace, more custom. Also would think, eliminating dry wall on the ceilings is easier work

Next time check your area for a commercial acoustical ceiling supplier. Commercial ceilings are 2x2 or 2x4 systems, usually. So, finding 2x4 rock wool should be quite easy with those suppliers. But it's a done deal now.

Wainscoting will add the wood theme and keep 1/3 -1/2 of the wall from damage. Wood paneling in the master would complete the theme, and you could say you have the most wood in the bedroom ;) No Trusscore wall panels?PVC doesn't mold when the place is closed in the winter,and it won't warp.

Your wife is right. At least from the stand point that you have to move the container to you cottage property. During the transport the container will twist and tear the drywall at the drywall screws. Maybe if you double the number of screws you use it might help but between lifting on and off the trailer, and the movement on the truck trailer during transport, the container will get racked a little.

You really should get a hobby saw mill.....they are not that expensive, and you have the equipment to move logs around. Then Spencer can supply you with all the hard wood you can handle........for various projects like siding, ceilings, window and door trim.
