Looking at what you did, it seems that you removed way more parts than needed to get at the sensor. Was this the first time that you did this or am I missing something? And just how critical is it to us a runout gauge when reinstalling? I just purchase a used 60D and want to do this conversion to it.

Everything removed what needs to be removed.

Is the sensor alignment necessary if a clear replacement glass is used on the sensor?
@RemusLt
@RemusLt Год назад
The clear glass is not for alignment. Its for sensor focus adjustment and protection sort of. If I do Full Spectrum I assume the customer would use it for astro photography. And if the sensor is not leveled they would get a corner not in focus. I mean each corner of the sensor should be at the same distance from camera chassis. If that makes any sense. I know people complaining about Full Spectrum / Astro conversions by other companies so I do sort of factory sensor leveling.

@@RemusLt thank you for replying. Do you think that marks could be made prior to unscrewing the sensor to make it sit properly?

Most likely no, I am not sure about this. You can use a caliper to measure the distance somehow. I never used it but I think its possible to do that. However, you can screw in fully (completely until you can't turn it anymore) the screws, so it will be somewhat leveled. @@mavicamaiden

Hi there. Do you convert the Sony ZV-E10? Do you have a DYI manual for this camera please?
@RemusLt

There is no manual yet...

Thanks for the vid. Auto-focus seems to work but not sure if it's fully in focus. But altogether a great success!

I would recommend wearing an anti-static wrist strap while doing this😊

Wearing, you just do not see it.

Are you just removing the IR filter? Or are you adding in another piece of glass in its place? As i understand the only drawback with just removing the IR filter is that auto focus wont work unless in liveview

Only shifting the sensor.
