Buen trabajo. Pocos he visto con tu destreza. Nota: me ha encantado cuando has soldado los tochos a los mordientes blandos y has mecanizado el negativo del diábolo. Un Máquina.
Love soft jaws. Not just for round work either. Got a pallet of castings with nothing to chuck to? Butcher, weld to, whatever a set of chewed up soft jaws, turn, bore, or mill registrations, clamping features, etc and go to town. Three jaw on the lathe also works on on the table of a mill, HBM, VBM, whatever. Add soft jaws and screw a buncha $100K modular set-up kits. Keep it simple, secure, and repeatable.
That's crazy. Do you charge more to "fix it"? Or to "make it right"? I'm guessing the hole work was not done in your shop .... You must see all kinds of parts out of tolerance .... good recovery. Pretty clever making the new chuck.
@@ChrisMaj Yea, I saw that and as I was writing my comment I couldn't recall whether I saw "that's how we got it" or "that's how I got it" .... great recovery.
It almost seemed like there was something a little off about the material while you were roughing beyond the wonky saw cuts, the tool that was roughing the center V seemed to have consistent load but the sound was changing, then during finishing it seemed like the surface was rougher on one side than the other. Did you notice that while you were cutting?
I often wondered when shooting these types of video how often do you need to change the lens cover or camera case? All them heavy chips must knock the camera around a lot. Just out of interest how many bins of swarf did you fill on the project?
It's a cnc lathe. You just get an alarm if you crash (not that I've ever done it 😉) or if I push it to hard, I'll get an alarm ,Spindle motor overheated.
The supplier F-up, but I'm still working on a job. "The customer supplied the material." I don't think I've ever wasted so much material. I might have a video in a couple of weeks.
You should have programmed it with a zig zag cycle. Use the left and right side of the tip, and you stay on the job. Know rapid back to the start. Easy cycle on Fanuc
How do you run an NC program on a part like that? You gotta chuck up a big slug, and wind up with a finished piece.....and if you've got a dimension that's off, you have to put an offset in for that tool and run it again, right? How do you avoid scrapping parts that are out of tolerance....?
Just for a weight saving, but flame hardening has a tendency to distort, so I left as much material as I could. As you can see, the finished part has a really thin wall.
@@ChrisMaj I see, it's 42 minutes. Thank you very much. One more question: Can the grooving time of this V-shape one be shortened like this video? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-75Mxut72mnY.html&ab_channel=BlakeSheen
@@ChrisMaj i worried about learning nc I just do manual and study nc program on youtube and got a tips from utuber like u When i got the machine, i will buy hwachon mega100 5,6000 is it enough to run the semi nc lathe? In your video, your work process is similer to us. that make me feel compose. Just buy than do that is it the best way to me?
