I don’t think he meant it that way, what they all say and it’s so telling all these people around it, are impacted, they have pstd, the judge stopped being a criminal judge this case was haunting for them,,why? Because she is still missing. They have more emotions about it then the mother has had ever, not once did I hear her say I hope she is ok, or happy,

She adopts two of her children out, why wouldn't she have given the third child away also? Perhaps she arranged for an illegal adoption so that she could have some money on this occasion? The problem with dealing with a liar is that it's hard to know if they are capable of the truth.

What if the father made the decision to do an illegal adoption, and now the little girl is being raised by a family with a different name. So Andrew is scared to come forward now or he might not even be alive anymore. But for Keli to believe the child is alive and well speaks to her hopeful belief that she is well and happy.

Simply because you dont know anything about the father and the baby.Unless you are either a compulsive or a pathological liar.This is my pov, it is coming from a place of how I was raised and have my own morality.Not everyone is the same, and this woman is a galaxy away from me imo.I dont believe her story,it does not make sense to me.

I don't know if Keli is guilty or innocent. What do know is that the trial was a complete and utter s**t show. Keli's mother knew she was pregnant. You know, as a mother, what changes your daughter goes through,especially as they lived day in and day out together

I know. many surrogates who go on vacation after the baby is born, or buy a puppy, or do something distracting. You have to understand she had done this before, did not feel she could parent, knew how to compartmentalize, she knew way before she had the baby she was not keeping it. She was also holding on tight to not letting people know so she knew going to the wedding was something important. That is my take on it. We can't look at this from our own current situations or history. We don't know what it is like to be her.

@@sarahholland2600 she was which her first boyfriend discussed in part one. As someone who has had two children on birth control, it happens a lot. I was actually on two different kinds, the pill and the patch with my second child as the pill alone didn't stop my first pregnancy. It's not 100%. And for some women it's not effective. I think the better question is why should we believe that she killed this one when she responsibly gave others away and or terminated .

Whether she is guilty of the crime she is charged with or not, she doesn’t seem like a very nice person. To have one baby after another and being ok with not wanting to know whether the babies are ok or not says a lot about her. I hope and pray all the babies are fine and have found loving parents/homes.

Keli doesn’t know how to tell the truth. She has lied her way through life. I don’t know if she actually killed Tegan or not, but she has shown complete disregard for that infants life no matter what she did. I have a hard time having sympathy for her, and tend to think that prison is the best place for her.

Leaving your baby with a man you dont even know his real name?! And they want to paint her as a caring mother because she breastfed? She literally left her newborn with a man she didnt even know or care to remember his name but made it to a wedding seemingly unbothered. I dont buy it. The conviction was right. The only travisty is the lack of remorse she feels for failing her newborn baby! May that sweet baby rest in peace.

Reminds me of the Caylee Anthony case in Florida. Her mother, Casey Anthony, was out partying for 30 days. She told her mother that Caylee was with the nanny, but there was never a nanny. All she did was lie and device everyone. The little girl was found 18 months later, just about a mile away from the house, wrapped in her Winnie the Pooh sheets, stuffed in a plastic bag, thrown away in swampy brush. Casey was found innocent in court, later more evidence came out, but she can't be tried again. Casey never told her the father of the baby was either. Double Jeopardy. So so sad.

The difference: Caylee's body was found. Bringing the detectives on wild goose chases, the car tested positive for chloroform and human decomposition and a strand of Caylee's hair was found in the car's that showed signs of decomposition, two police-dog handlers indicated that their cadaver dogs had detected human decomposition, one in Casey's car and the other in the Anthony family's backyard. This case has zero evidence of anything basically.

What if the man lied about his name. Besides the fact there are thousands of Andrew morris- Andrew Norris ‘s but what if he told her his name was Andrew but it wasn’t. There are more reasons to believe that the biological father is covering up something than she handed the baby off to him, which is a story she has stuck to since the beginning. So now a child who has not been proven to be killed has sent a mother to prison and that’s keeping this mom from her precious daughter she was raising. Now this child loses her mom because of a story they came up with that she killed a child. No evidence! Just zero evidence of that. I hope if this child has any clue of who she is or if she dose a DNA test one day will come forward. And one day the truth will come out, but if this child was put through an illegal adoption and she never dose DNA testing it might not ever be known.

As I said, not many young men would say they want to do things illegally. I don't believe that there was enough evidence to prove HER argument/info nor was there enough evidence to convict her. BUT, that story of hers has many holes. I haven't read anything about the bio dad hiding anything. In this day and age, it is hard to hide.

@@libbyringo8419 no one said it was a “ young man “ . It was an affair. It could be a 40 year old man with a wife who could get pregnant. If you listened to the entire documentary you would know she was seen on multiple occasions leaving the apartment building where she had the affair late at night. I’m starting to think that it was not a single man who lived in that building but it was a couple who lived in the complex and the wife worked nights. So when they researched the people who lived in the building and ruled out couples they should not have. And maybe the bio father moved away. Or Maybe he died ! And the child went to his next of kin who are terrified to lose the child. So they do not come forward. Or maybe they moved to the US and the millions of people who do not watch true crime haven’t seen this case. In the other live births she made arrangements through adoption. So why not believe she made arrangements with this baby through the biological dad. What his sister wanted a child but couldn’t get pregnant. So there was a family agreement on his side. And they are afraid to come forward in fear the child would be taken. I believe there are many more reasons why she made arrangements for the child. Then just getting rid of a child in a matter of about a hour when she 40 weeks to make good decisions about her. And there are many more reasons why they biological father or the people she gave the baby to have not come forward. This is a made up crime. There is no evidence other than evidence of lies to cover up what she did so her parents would not find out. I feel extremely sorry for the daughter she kept who lost her mother, because chances are this baby Teagan ( probably not her name any longer) has a mother raising her. But now the child she was actually raising loses her mother to prison in a case with zero evidence of a crime. There must be evidence of a crime committed to convict.

Her birth certificate would originally have her mother's name on it. So where is the paperwork to prove this?

Wow! The show starts with Keli lying (I think). I believe it’s highly unlikely that “random barristers” were approaching her and telling her she wasn’t going (to prison), she’d be okay, and they’d never seen a trial like this. I find Keli’s ability to believe her own narrative incredulous.

then you've never worked in a court room. I have, and its not at all the way you think it is. I've seen persons of the court speaking with defendants in a casual manner with my own eyes, and discussing the proceedings, in serious cases, during a recess. you wouldn't believe some of the things I've seen. I've seen a women appearing in court for a minor misdemeanor that would be later dismissed taken straight to jail without even speaking before the judge in complete error. she walked into the courtroom in her dress clothes, sat down to wait her turn, was called up to the clerk to confirm her information, then for some reason, instead of then being brought before the judge to state her plea on the charge with her attorney, she was immediately taken by the bailiff to the back to be searched, and was put in a van with female convicts and taken to jail and booked by MISTAKE. she was just supposed to plead in front of the judge, be given her sentence which in the worst case would have been taking a court appointed class and probation, and sent home, and like I said, her single misdemeanor charge was later dismissed for her trouble. instead, she spent the weekend in jail and nearly lost her job. I was also at her new court appearance in the same courtroom before the same judge, which was handled correctly, and she expressed that she nearly lost her job over this mistake. like I said, you would be absolutely amazed.

If he's say a wanted criminal I can see keeping his mouth shut. Maybe that woman wasn't his actual mother. Kelli didn't know him very well how would she know the difference? He could have sold the baby. If that's the case he's not coming forward. I'm not saying it isn't impossible she killed her baby. But it's also not impossible this guy did get the baby. There's lots of narcissistic, evil people out there. I also can't help but feel she may not even know Andrew's last name. Maybe she doesn't want to admit she never got his last name so made one up .

there’s no way that nurse remembered this particular patient all the sudden when after 5, she had no memory. so hundreds more patients & many more years suddenly she has specific recall of Kelly??? riiigggghhhhtttt 🙄😤 LIAR!! sounds to me like she was paid, bribed or threatened to have a memory. there’s a lot of holes in this case on both sides. it’s hard to say what happened & where the child is 😢

Who hands over their 2-day old infant daughter to someone they supposedly don't really know to go to a wedding? Who even wants to go to a wedding after just giving birth 2 days before? If she really wanted to go to this wedding, why didn't she ask her parents to babysit Tegan? This woman makes no sense to me. I have a difficult time thinking that she spared her baby's life.

As one who served as a social worker and believed in my integrity, and am shocked by the behavior of this social worker. Investigating a baby's whereabouts is understandable. However, coming up with a theory, as he admits, in regards to the baby being buried at the Olympic site is HORRIBLE. AND then this lawyer uses this theory in the trial. I want to also state that this lawyer who based his case on her being a liar is a HYPOCRITE for he too is a LIAR. He only cares about one pronouncing his name correctly and "winning." DISGUSTING!!

US here. Never heard of this case until I stumbled across it today through watching another true crime channel and started scrolling down to find something else that looked interesting to watch. No one in my family has ever heard of this case. She very well may have murdered her baby but the standard in the US is it must be proved beyond reasonable doubt. The prosecution really has no evidence . Obviously it looks really bad for her but we don't send someone to prison because something looks bad. They have to be able to prove it .

Yes and no, she was young and based on what we see in this documentary had a strange relationship with her parents. Who knows what her mental situation was/is as a result of that. She said she was drinking a lot (probably partly to drown her sorrows) and perhaps she is one of those people who can get pregnant from sharing a toothbrush. After watching all three parts i dont think i could have convicted her based on the little evidence there is. She told lies that a lot of young kids in sticky situations would have and have told but that doesn't make her a murderer. Maybe she did it but there's just too much doubt to be certain for me.

Bottom line: What did you do with the baby? You don't just hand over your newborn in the lobby of a hospital and not know who you gave it to. If you are not guilty, what is his name/their names and let the police verify the baby is alive. The fact that no one came forward and said, "Holy cow, I was just standing there and somebody just handed me a baby", leads me to believe she knows EXACTLY where little baby Tegan is. Guilty.

The defense was absolutely incompetent. There were three crucial and credible witnesses the jury should have heard: the man who lived in Andrew's apt. complex who witnessed Keli leaving the apt late at night multiple times, her girlfriend who was told by Keli that Keli was having an ongoing affair with Andrew, and Andrew Morris, who did not fit the profile of the man Keli had an affair with. The man she had the affair with may well have given her a bogus name and sold the infant.

Although the circumstantial evidence certainly suggests that her baby isn’t alive and, therefore, you can make a leap that she probably was responsible for her death, there are just too many unanswered questions to remove reasonable doubt. I couldn’t even be confident that the baby wasn’t alive.

It's entirely possible that if she handed the baby to the baby's father, he went on to sell that child to someone who was none the wiser. The best case scenario is that some people paid for an illegal adoption and brought up Tegan as their own. They may have suspected they had Tegan at some point, but didn't want to lose her so never came forward. Tegan was already a big girl when this story became public. She was about 8 years old, wasn't she? Or thereabouts.

We know there was a baby and that’s haunting. Someone would have responded, I have her. No one knows if she ok. As the psychiatrist said, her demeanor changes when she talks about Andrew. It also changes when she talk about the child, her daughter. She NEVER ever spoke with any concern, or I hope she is ok, I hope she has a good life, no she only speaks of her in the sense, being annoyed, if it wasn’t for her, and she was found, she would mot be in jail, she even seems to have difficulty saying her name. It will struck to me that there is no words of care. At the end it’s the whole purpose is to clear her name and when Andrew comes up she gets really defensive, and doesn’t want to go there, and I’m pushed my whole life. And you are listening to that and think? Wait it shouldn’t be just about you, you and everyone else would want to know if your biological daughter is safe and alive? It’s my believe when people become defensive there is truth to it. Her story makes no sense. She claims she had no choice, yet, she could have told the hospital she wanted to put the child up for adoption. The only reason may be, they were maybe started to ask question and she may have worried it would come out. Maybe a piece of the story is correct, that she did go somewhere else and put the baby there, in the nope she would be adopted. And perhaps in that action something went wrong. She can do a lie detector test, the 60 seconds silence on that question where is … is she alive… is haunting and then she said no.

Its not about her guilt anymore. This trial was a joke from the start till end but she is still in jail. Does not matter any f what we feel about her, she has had no fair trial so she should be let out. The rest is bullshit.

INSANITY, did we hear them correctly, in saying she was actually pregnant 6 X’s? There’s definitely something not right w/that & giving them all away for adoption, except the girl she kept & the one missing?! It is odd that she gave them all up for adoption, except for the one! Find out all if the difference’s between all of the other births/adoption’s & maybe the answers are there!

Expected parole.hearing may 2024. But...nsw have since introduced a "no (admission to a) body (whereabouts) no parole law!!!

I really believe these investigative journalists did a better investigation than any other investigative body involved in this case. Keli Lane reminds me of Casey Anthony. The difference, in my opinion, is there was wayyyy more evidence against Casey Anthony than Keli Lane and Casey is unfortunately a free woman. While I believe Keli Lane disposed of Tegan on the route between leaving the hospital and getting to her parents house, the burden of proof wasn't there. I don't believe Keli's legal team did right by her despite even the Judge's attempts to get them to. There is no perfect legal system unfortunately and there never will be. I truly believe Keli got rid of Tegan because she felt she had no other choice. Appearances mattered more to her than her child and she couldn't have shown up at her parent's home with a baby after all the lies and secrets. It's absolutely abhorrent. As a mother, I can't even stand the idea that anyone could hurt an innocent baby, but they do all the time. I'm sure she'll get released from prison if she hasn't been already at this point. The trial was a messy sham and the effect it had on that officer and even the judge is stunning to me. I pray baby Tegan is at peace and I pray she's found.

Yes, supported by multiple bad decisions and an inability to tell the truth about ANYTHING. Andrew doesn't exist, Teagan may have had a different name or be given a different name. She just walked away like, "OK, next!!" Never cared to follow up on the baby at all.

I am not convinced Keli is guilty, she wouldn't take a plea deal & has stuck to her innocence. The justice system wanted her to be guilty which is an injustice to all.

How many primary schools are in Australia that the police could Not have taken the date of birth and gone through the records to see if a girl had attended, and if any pictures were available, to rule out there was such a girl? And what about emigration records? Could the father & his family have emigrated to ensure Kelli (or anyone else) didn’t come for the child?
