Agreed one of my favorite parts that an the go from screaming to singing I also love the visuals man this song is so raw so dope an it makes me like them even more with recently learning more about the band just looking into them it has definitely helped my walk an it all started with me judging them an then feeling convicted ❤😂😢 because of the upside down cross I also appreciate the song price of grace alot as well it helps me get thru losing some one from suicide myself I love these guys

You're not afraid of the venomous doubt that poisons our blood and to be transparent about the unbearable darkness of this realm. Peter is supposed to have said that when he was condemned to death by crucifixion, because he felt as though he did not deserve to die in the same manner as Christ did; that he deserved less dignity, so to speak. I love that it was included in the lyrics.
I'm not a Christian and I haven't been for a long time. I've got nothing but respect though for those who aren't afraid to openly share what they believe, especially in music. Metal/hardcore/metalcore or just heavy music in general is my favorite, so I appreciate it even more in heavy genres. That being said, don't be silenced by haters. You have just as much right to be open as anyone else does. Keep rocking!

I love seeing the younger generation so spirit filled. I had to grow up with Christianity INC. and even our metal was watered down….. I truly believe there is an outpouring onto the earth in these last days.

This is one of the only bands that gives me literal chills while listening to the lyrics and sound. This is the heaviest God centered band I can think of. These lyrics are always so powerful and I can relate to so much of these songs and man, this band is awesome.

It is so time for christian artists to really embrace the name of Jesus, and the spirit of worship, instead of being nuanced and safe with their faith. You guys are giving glory to His name, and spitting gospel. And it is heavy, and doesnt hold back, and is not the lifeless, formulaic, mind numbing christian pop that we get on the radio. Mike taking the cleans at the start and absolutely demolishing the screams, progressing to Dakota's feature is awesome! I was really interested in how you guys (Convictions) would collaborate around Danyal's exit from the band, combining to form the clean vocals, if any, and who would perform them. It seems that was primarily solved with the feature. Haha. You really impressed me. Although the main part of the feature is only about 15-20 secs long, it severely impacts the song (in a positive way) and feels present for more than the amount of time it is actually there (approx. 15-20 secs) For once, the feature actually feels like it has a purpose. Dakota was NEEDED on this track!!! The drop at 2:38 is so disgustingly heavy and caught me by surprise, yet at the same time is so present. It definitely has a sense of beauty about it! The insanely high cleans from Dakota paired with Michael's screams at 2:52 is perfectly beautiful! By the time the song finished it felt like it was very short! Album coming soon? 👀
This brings me back to the days of when Sleeping Giant was just throwing down spiritual music into the ring. When SG stopped Tommy said he wanted SG's content to be the floor not the ceiling, for other bands to build from. This feels like it just fits so perfectly to that legacy. I hope you guys keep throwing heavy worship out there like this.

Praise CHRIST JESUS alone for Convictions! Before I was a born again Christian by CHRIST GOD'S grace alone I was a heavy metal guitar player and a back up singer in a band called Through Illusion in Phoenix Arizona during the early 2000's. With that said, if I was in a band today as a born again Christian I would want to be in a band like Convictions. I love when bands who claim ‘Christian’ actually live up to their claim. These lyrics cannot be interpreted in any other way, as some ‘Christian’ bands do. They have lyrics that could seem secular as well. There’s no need. Point to the Cross, and you can’t go wrong. Powerful song. Love it.

It's simply not that often that you come across a Christian band, that is so good that they don't have that canned, generic sound like a band that wants to add just enough Jesus to attract saved metalheads, but not so much that you risk losing secular fans. This is the "Skillet" of Metal and I'm loving it. In your face and unashamedly spreading the hope that comes with a relationship with Christ and cranking out solid bangers in the process. I'm a fan!

You might also like Demon Hunter and Stryper. Demon Hunter has more "subtle" messages about the Word of God, but the heaviness in their instrumentals are phenomenal. I recommend their songs "I Will Fail You" and "Thorns." As for Stryper, they have more of a praise-centered approach to their music. Songs like "To Hell With The Devil," "Makes Me Want to Sing," and "Take It To The Cross" are the ones that stand out most when it comes to music about God's word and promises. God bless you!

I'm shocked a member of Hollow Front was involved this song after listening to their album. Love the lyrics but I'm overly perplexed that an open atheist would sing those lyrics. Love it though. Good for Convictions coming out like this. Their EP was vague in their faith and didn't really openly dive into it. Great song.

The first minute is just unbelievable atmosphere, heaviness, beat and vibe that surpasses any other release this year. Rest of the song hits all the feels as it leads into the clean vocals. Just a whole new level. That message too. I’m convicted. God working through you guys big time.
