Dang this bittersweet…reminds me so much of my dad..rip I lost him last year.. almost same story he was from Honduras and my mom from Puerto Rico.. grew up Pentecostal and my dad always record us four girls singing… even down to the Central American accent…cherish those moments especially building with the grand babies..trust me I lost my “papi lindo” and would give anything to have him back.

I have a Papi Lindo too but I didn't give him that praise, his family and any women his age or any age find him very attractive. My sister and I used to be embarrassed by it but now that we're older it's hilarious that he's a pretty boy. So many people don't know or have a Dad for numerous reasons, I'm very grateful I got a good man in the bargain as well.

Gerd what you don't know is that you're already your daughters' first love. As a daughter, I can say with confidence your father will always be your first love..but thank you for wanting to be the best father you can..just be yourself and accept and love your daughters. By being the man you are, you will set the standard so high for your daughters. Every episode makes me cry. Coming from a broken home, having a father that wasn't solid, I appreciate this family more than you guys will ever know..I didn't realize how much my heart was broken and jaded until I started watching your RU-vid channel..healing. Absolutely healing.

Loved this episode so much! Cherish every moment. He reminds me so much of my dad. My dad also loved to sing and he also wrote his own coritos and would sing them in church. I found myself having to pause the video more then once as tears filled my eyes ever so quickly. I lost my father to cancer in Oct. 2018. He was only 72. Seeing you and your girls love on him and his gleaming adoring eyes for your children, and you--Ahh broke me down. Joyful tears of memories of all the good times. There is nothing like the love between a father and daughter. I am the middle daughter of 3 girls and although I was definitely was not the "Daddy's Girl", I loved my daddy. My 'Ol'Man Rivers" is what I called him. Nothing compared to your sweet "Papi Lindo" nickname, lol but it fit him. My father and I never had the perfect relationship. Probably because I am so much like him we bumped heads...a lot. I miss him terribly. So, Claude, muchisimas gracias for sharing a bit of your Papi's story. Also, for you & A sharing him with us all these years. If he only knew how many other "mijas" around the world treasure el "Papi Lindo". I am crying because Papi Lindo is the exact same as my dad! I know that’s because they are both men of God. My dad is the kindest, simplest, happiest, and easy going guy you will ever meet. I truly thought my Dad was one of a kind but I see now there are a few other special beings around like him, including your Papi Lindo! My Dad has also written his own songs (hymns) and corritos. I too grew up in church singing, I was very shy but sang in church with my dad and brother. I know exactly how much immense love you have for your Dad because that’s the same amount of love I have for my Dad! I love my Dad because of the way he loves God first and foremost and also because he is so kind, humble, sincere, genuine, loving, and free of judgment. (I know your Papi Lindo has those same qualities) I have always felt so blessed to have a man like my Dad. I always felt like people couldn’t fully understand how much love I had for my Dad, but Claudette I know you understand exactly that love because of the absolute wonderful fathers we have! I am so thankful to you for sharing Papi Lindo with us! ❤️ P.S tell Gerd I love my Dad because of the man he is and the qualities he embodies. Maybe that will help his case study. 😉
