What's your favorite budget flashlight to date for overall performance well rounded I guess and a favorite not well rounded? I cant help but ask, thank you and i so love your channel
I've been looking at this light for awhile now but I'm going to wait until it's crazy batteries are available from known manufacturing companies. Maybe with a high quality battery it would get closer to its stated output. It's still an impressive light for the money it costs. I hope the battery supply gets better soon. Great review!😊
I just came here to let SC know but figured I'd put a message under your comment since you mentioned reputable manufactures. Vapcell has a 26800 battery out, they are very hard to find but JLHawaii808 just got some in stock. They are the 25A version but slightly less capacity than the queen battery 26800 20A. It's only a few hundred mah less capacity which is nothing on such a big battery and you get the extra power. You can also run a 21700 cell in this light, you need the 26mm button top pcb boards meant for taking up extra space on flat top 26650 cells and the o rings that go around 21700 cells to bring them up to the diameter of a 26650/26800. I got both of those items from the Convoy store, the o rings are listed as- 20.5* 3.0mm o-ring for 21700 battery, and the button top pcb is listed as- 26mm PCB board for series connection. I would use two of the o-rings on the 21700 and you'll also have to use two of the pcb boards, one on top and one on the bottom.
I love the capacity of the 26800. I have not measured mine yet but I have 4 of them and I'm going to test them soon just to see because some people are reporting upwards of 7400mah from them. I think it matters how fast they discharge. The faster you discharge them the less total ah you get on a full charge.
Do you have any 26980, I'm curious to know if it would give it more power. But nevertheless it was still impressive IMHO, can't wait until I put some range on it.
@@smotheredchrome no and best I can recall the 26800 are better. But then you might find Lipo in 26960 and those are super high drain. Like a Lipo that size might be good for 60 amps output but capacity not so great as their max voltage is really low no where near 4.2v
Here in the philippines, some local sellers and sellers from china sells 26980 batts however its still 6800mah and 30A just like the stock 26800. Pretty throwy light. Quite a bang for the buck i might say.
Thank you I appreciate your comment. I think they are both excellent lights sp70 is floody with around 700m of throw while l8 is almost 1500m of throw and decent flood, I will do a shorts video for you tonight and maybe it will help you decide.
Man id absolutely love to have a lumen tube to test my lights and the ones I build for people but theyre just too expensive for how much I would be using it...
I am just opening this and using for the 1st time. My button doesn't light up. Isnt it supposed to light up? Its clear. Also it came with an extra short tube. Not sure where to get an even bigger battery?
@@smotheredchrome I noticed the button only lights up when you're charging. Do you know where to get the bigger battery? I have 3 26800 but last time I checked I couldn't find the 26980.
@@smotheredchrome I heard these batteries are rare, I ordered a new convoy l8, I need a spare 26800 battery, where can I find these batteries on aliexpress?
