I love it too sir. Good news.Convoy has make a new tactical switch for it. I have it now and review it soon. Thanks for watching and your support sir 😊. Please subscribe 🙏.
I would love to see similar video with less than 4000K 519A LEDs, like 3500K, 3000K and even the "very warm" 2700K. I'm really courious about that how usable they are in these areas where you usually testing your flashlights as I'm also walking areas like these. Thank you in advance! 🙂
519A 2700k is interesting sir. I always use S21A lh351D 2700k on my motorcycle when riding to my review place. It's the tint that I think is too orange but after use it for awhile. I love it. It helps me see things well on wet alphalt road and in the rain and foggy condition. I will try to find 519a 2700k to make a review sir. Thanks for watching sir. Please subscribe 😊🙏.
I love my convoy s2+ (sst4) it's my edc lamp bright robust waterproof everything you want and good for smal budget! (good for work) Thank you for this Video Greetings Johannes
Just purchased my first Convoy based off your reviews: S2+, 519A, 4500k, OP, SS Metal Switch, SS Bolt on pocket clip. Also purchased a separate pack of 5 lenses ranging from 10 degrees to 60 degrees to see if the spread of light would be more appealing to me. Which lense do you think will be best? Another Question- I purchased OP reflector which spreads/ scatters the light. Should I have purchased a smooth reflector if I plan on using the TIR lenses?
I can't say which lens is the best sir. It depends on how you use the flashlight. If you want a thrower, 10°. Good combination of throw and flood, 25°. Very floody, 45° 60°. Something like that sir. I have a sample vdo here.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rqU_qAIosag.html Smooth reflector may not work well with some led sir because it causes artifacts in the beam. You can notice from Convoy flashlights. There's no S21B xhp50.2 smooth reflector due to artifacts. I have already tried that. I am not sure about 519a + smooth reflector will have a good beam or not sir. Thanks for watching sir 😊. Please subscribe 🙏.
@@weerapatkiatdumrong Thank you for the reply. Definitely not looking to make this light a thrower. I believe given S2+ size it is better for it to be a mid and closer range light. Maybe the smooth reflector with different angle lenses is another thing you can experiment with and make a video from.
@@peskypeet Those TIR lenses are also the reflectors, you take the reflector out when you use one. It stands for total internal reflection, like when you look up at the surface of water when underneath and it's reflective.
Of course We enjoyed ur review Sir! Thanks for ur time and effort, do you think 5000k in the middle will combine between the extra brightness of the 5700k when it's dry, and the extra light of the 4000k in the wet? And also will it be comfortable to the eyes when using it for long as the 4000k? Or maybe the bet should be between 4000k or 4500k for the eyes' comfortness, thank you Sir!
My ts25 is 519a 5000k sir. I think this tint is not bad a bit yellow. Quite similar to daylight. I think it's still comfortable tomy eyes sir. 4500k is good as well. Thanks for watching sir 😊🙏.
Good comparison, I think I prefer the 4000K. It seems to have less glare on the surface of the water and in the fog than the 5700K. They are both good.
5700k is very neutral, not blueish, not yellowish, but pure neutral white. I really like the 5700k. 4000k is more calming for the eyes. Both are great for different occasions 👍🏻
Hey, thank you for the vid. have you tried TIR optics, like the 5 degree one convoy sells? I just ordered a MAO s2+ with 5700k 519a and a 5 degree TIR in hopes to get more throw.
Very nice video sir! I recently got the 519a s2+ from Convoy, but I noticed that on high levels the flashlight gets like, really hot, even in the 20% mode, do you think the 20% or 35% modes are safe to use for long periods of time even if they get quite hot, or it would damage the LED in some way?
Hello sir. I think it's safe sir. The led can bear high current. You can check this sir. Thanks for watching and your support sir 😊. Please subscribe 🙏. www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/scntbw/nichia_519a_light_output_compared_with_other/
20% and 35% modes should be fine. Just be careful with 50% and 100% modes, depending on your mode group. Those can get hot enough to burn your hand if left on for too long!
I want to order a NEW DT8 WITH TINT RAMPING AND CHANNEL SWITCHING. One channel with a very tight hotspot for throw and the other channel with extreme flood. I like the cooler colors for flashlights vs warm. Can you please tell me which led to select I am so lost
Hello sir. To be honest, I don't know DT8 sir. For the led, sst20 is quite throw while 519a seems more floody. This also depends on reflector and lens sir. Thanks for watching sir 😊. Please subscribe 🙏.
5700K would be closer to actual daylight, which would look nice if you have to use the light during the day, but will not look as good at night when eyes are adjusted to more warm colors. 4000K is about the same color temperature as the light that comes off of the moon.
Hello sir. From my experience, I like xhp70.2 sir. It has efficient watt per lumens. And it's really powerful. Medium mode is bright enough for general use. Thanks for watching sir 😊. Please subscribe 🙏.
