Great review, thanks. I had only seen pictures of this guy before and thought oh no, he's going to some stuck up smug hipster, don't want to read that. But found some videos of him and he's incredibly down to earth and likeable. You can tell he's just really passionate about sharing the knowledge and enjoyment he's found in fermenting.

thank you for the quick review and interesting introduction to the author as a person :) I love fermented foods and want to make more at home, but I really just want a good collection of recipes to start out from. I think it's too frustrating trying to make your own recipes. Need some satisfactory little successes before thinking about going down the path of the fermentation artist haha
