it is definitely understated how insanely lucky he got in this combo. tl;dr in terms of non-guaranteed luck-dependent golden cookie buffs, the best ever luck attained in noscum history. noscum endgame combos are comprised of three different sets of effects. the first few are the naturally stacked buffs, which are frenzy + dragon harvest + building special. next is the guaranteed scried effect - in this case he used another building special, but noscum players further in tend to use an elder frenzy which is harder to scry but around 6-7 times better. the three stacked buff and the scried effect are basically guaranteed for the combo attempt, so there’s no luck involved. the last set of effects are the non-guaranteed ones. these come from the 3 other fthof golden cookies, and the 1 natural golden cookie. players usually aim for a click frenzy from the fthof cookies, and possibly a dragonflight from the natural. getting both two are insanely rare, there's a 40-50% chance to get cf and a 6% chance to get df, resulting in a 2-3% chance of getting cf+df. getting the naturally stacked f+dh+bs with a scried ef and cf+df is considered the holy grail of noscum, the best (leaderboard-eligible) combo ever attempted so far. only a handful of players have achieved this, top players spend about 7 hours of playtime to churn out a single grail attempt just for that tiny chance at this. now dragoon also stacked f+dh+bs, and scried a bs instead of an ef, which as previously mentioned is 6-7x weaker. but from the 3 non-guaranteed fthofs and the 1 natural, he hit cf+df+bs. which is insane. if he had scried an ef instead of the bs, this would have been f+dh+2bs+ef+cf+df, or grail+bs, the single best combo in noscum history. he achieved this in a mere 4 combo attempts. so yeah, this 305 trevigintillion is kinda luck carried lmao. he made quite a few combo execution mistakes, but as one of those haters from before i truly applaud how he took the effort to learn endgame combos through guides and asking questions in the discord. but no, you don’t need grail for trevig
