After reading the description, I see what you mean, I guess a lot the game's combat definitely feels even hard to look at(as in follow), it's like one minute it started and next thing the boss is dead.
It really is a pity because the animation is good, but you really have to watch it frame by frame or you just miss it entirely which is quite a dumb waste
@@Doomroar After seeing another comment about slowing it down, definitely love how the animations look for sure, which I could enjoy it at whatever speed the devs saw it in
Slowed this down to .25. The devs did a hell of job with the animations. Incredibly smooth and expressive. Like how her head changes while firing a projectile. I'll still give it a go. Thanks for the upload.
This may sound as a criticism but this is actually a praise: this game has a very high contrast between its lower quality graphics and higher quality animations, which seems to be a very time-efficient way of making a game look way more cool and visually appealing for the same amount of limited effort.
i've been following you for a while now, but never commented : thank you for your hard work in your videos 🥺🙏 for one reason or another, there is something super relaxing about watching someone being a gamer god and it really puts my anxiety and worries to sleep cool vid ! 💙
As a lover of weird art in games and shows, I disagree ^^' The artstyle actually reminds me of cartoons like Ren&Stimpy, the animation flow and effects of games like Skullgirls and the character portraits are unique and colorful:3 Sure, the ingame models are a bit weird, but I guess that's part of the course for this game :D But I suppose everyones taste is different, so I can't fault your opinion on that point.
"Lets make a game. With a girl main character. But she's not like other girls. She has... Tattoos... and... She swears... and... She has a shit haircut and wears a trucker hat... Yeah... That'll get up social justice credits... Right?" "Um, boss... What about the gameplay...?" "Oh right... Um, yeah. I don't care about that" THE VIDEOGAME
Tbh I don't think they did it for sjw credit considering we see her panties whenever she kicks... I'd like to believe the dev really likes animations and their artstyle. It's just happen to not the kinda artstyle we like. Either way yeah they seem to have a lot to learn about building variety in gameplay
Every character looks like shit. It's a dei approved wet dream. It seems like they cared more about having ugly women characters than actual good gameplay. There's like 4 bosses and he kills them in 5 seconds. If you read his description, everything about the game is bad.
Even with this, the value is kinda... cheap. The fact you can spam the parry, getting the timing down flawlessly obviously, means you can waste bosses under a minute. The combos look less baked than a stoner. Hits everything but the target.
Yeah, I could tell from the trailer many months ago that this game would be meh. The art style and main character just doesn't appeal to me, and I assumed it would be pretty boring.
MC character design is also mid. what the heck with that MC silly hairstyle. animation is good, other characters design aren't bad. i just cant get over MC hairstyle and design.
man, how I miss games with very stylish artstyle and extra smooth animations like this for metroidvania, getting kinda tired of "pixel retro" style saturating the genre
i don’t like how everything revolves around and overly feminist ideology. they made the antagonist and perverted piece of shit (which is fine in most games) but when you have “GIRL POWER!” vs big robots over the sake of love it’s just corny. and i just feel like the mc is a self insert like dude everything about this game feels like shit especially the story
sO i AM 41 YEARS OLD AND HAVE BEEN GAMING SINCE I WAS 7 YEARS OLD(My first consol was a sega with alex kidd and a moonwalking michael jackson game, and double dragon) What I dont understand is why this generation likes these 90s retro shit games so much this looks like one of my sega games(with slightly better graphics
Would you consider getting a discord? It would be a nice way to get polls for game suggestions instead of emails. That said, do you go back to games you previously played for their updates? I'm struggling to no hit the new bosses in Oblivion Override and could use to see what type others are coming up with.
