Very cute Beetle punkin! My problem is that the guts are so icky. This weeks shopping will be looking for Halloween cookie cutters made of metal. Thanks!!
just a thought-- once you've got started through the skin a little, spray some water in the inside edge of the cookie cutter, then continue tapping? Also, as a preservative, if you put like a ounce of vinegar in a quart sprayer of water, that will keep mold at bay, and won't harm any animals that might decide to snack on it... but the smell (you'll hardly notice it even when new) will dissuade their sensitive noses for a while. The squirrels, especially, are more interested in the stringy guts and seeds, so if you put those out-across the yard- they'll be lured that way instead of up on your porch. And, maybe... you might have a pumpkin patch next year, too~!
I didn’t think about vinegar! Great idea! Thank you. 😊 The plastic was cracking so I decided it wasn’t worth dying the pumpkin 🎃 Thanks for the tips! Always appreciated 😊
My suggestion is where you’re going to use this cookie cutter scrape the inside part thin so then the cookie cutter should go through. Don’t keep it so thick.
