I wanna say it has something to do with bam. The whole fact he had failed at staying sober again led him to start writing in a journal. In it he said some shit about element could continue printing his decks or not. And that he could care less about them. Idk. I might be reaching too deep on that. Maybe that's why they're fucking up. Aaron Wells Nah Kader is sick af not knocking him but I don’t think he’s at a pro level like this guy clearly is . Baker just needs money and they know there’s so much hype around the kids name as demonstrated by your comment so they know kids will buy his decks . They’re not as big as they once were and sadly Dollin one of my fav shredders ever has been washed up for a while now and all his parts are 90% slams and what he does land is never the sick shit he tries all the time . Still love him tho gotta give the older heads a break .
Cookie reminds me of my own skating, only he can do every trick fast, land it, skate everything, kill all terrain, ollie from a handrail to a handrail over a gap, crush switch, do every trick, bust an impossible out of a smith grind on a gnarly railing, back disaster in the shallow end of a pool... besides that very similar.
I bought the peace video specifically to see his part. Even Jordan Maxham was saying on the nine club about the sick shit that was gonna go down in it. Then they just cut his part from the video and release it on youtube months later? What gives?
Imagine filming years on end for a video part for a board company. Just so they can not include your part in the full length. Skateboarding is politics now people, wake up. I loved the element video bought it myself but this is fucked up not including cookie. Would've made the video that much better. In this day and age it's not about how good you are, it's who you know. Thanks coulborn for killing it regardless 🤟
I mean a little dramatic but the end I agree with did you see Kader just went pro and this guys on a level I don’t think that kid will ever reach even though he’s sick af this guys just an animal . People are going pro now on certain companies just bc they like them but also I think it’s because they need the money and there’s a demand for Kader boards .
It’s not often, now a days, where you get the luxury of seeing a skater put a full part out. One with the right song and the right sympathetic progress to make others wanna skate. This video makes you feel like watching a classic hit. Wanna see more of Chris Caulborne
I watched this all the way through, then immediately restarted and watched it again. The dude is so smooth and so tech, and the way the music fits every frame is absolutely beautiful. Instant classic.
First time seeing this part and I instantly feel like it's a classic. Absolutely beautiful all the way through. And I feel like this guy is so good and so versatile that he could pretty much do anything you suggested to him on a skateboard. This is SOTY material.
This is incredible. I was thinking "He seems to be able to skate anything including switch. Just haven't seen any transition." And then he shredded a pool. He keeps the board to his feet better than almost any other skater.
His first prominent part was in illegal civilization 2, then he tried to get on huf but it didn't work for some reason, now I think he's am for new balance and element with a couple parts out for them, he also skates with the worble crew as well. He's a great skater but it's too bad most of his new parts have been plagued with boring editing and uninspired filming and skate politics like the huf shit and now this not making it into the full length. I can't recommend the ic2 part enough tho, great skater

@@hollabackgod idk about that i mean I saw an interview with him that said it was just misunderstandings with some team members, maybe you know something that I don't tho. Either way I think huf isn't just about skaters like rizzo who have a more slimmed down trick selection I mean look at someone like bledsoe who has a very technical trick selection, or Austin Gillette who can get pretty gnarly. Its obvious that huf isn't just about skaters like dick rizzo, and that it's more about having a diverse team but all with a certain style. and that idea was seen by how much product coulbourne was getting from them and how natural he looked wearing and skating in it when there was a possibility that he could get on the team. Also go watch dick rizzo's part in trust its really good, he's another one of my favourite skaters.
@@pharder1234 Dont get me wrong, I love Dick Rizzo, I love Bronze. Austyn, Jake, Sammy, Bledsoe and Cromer are some of my fav skaters. And I agree with you of the whole team dynamics aspect, but Huf really dropped the ball with Cookie.
He can skate anything... except a board with his name on the bottom. Also not sure why this says Peace at the end when they snubbed him on being in the video. Unless he was tucked away like Heath in Stay Gold and Element forgot that iTunes doesn't have DVD Menus that let you put in easter eggs.
I am currently wearing a hoodie given to me by Chris this Christmas. Dope af, has the Thrasher pentagram logos down one sleeve, the Independent logos down the other, and tbe back is one large black/red/white Thrasher pentagram/Independent cross combination logo. I met him at Safeway while I was working and he was in line. Didn't recognize him, but complimented him on the hoodie (he was wearing it, still sweaty from his session at our local park). He tracked me down 15 min later, INSISTED I take the sweater (I refused 3 times), then he took a pic with me wearing it. This dude literally gave me the shirt (hoodie) off his back, to a total stranger. Fucking cool dude, man.

I always saw him skate Worble boards, but I guess that's more of a skate team than a legit board company. I don't know. Either way, very confused about why they didn't put this in the full length. I would definitely buy a board with his name on it. With everyone going pro these days, I think Cookie really deserves to be pro. Element dun goofed.

too many bangers to name just one...whats rad is his deep bag of tricks- unlike most pros you never know what trick he is about to do next...which keeps his skating fresh...
Fully agree to everyone who figuered it out before I came: This man is a living/skating example for some heavy rotations in the Turning-Pro-Values in Skateboarding. It´s not all about that, definitly, but if someone deserves, than a skaterat like Chris is! I appreciate !

Besides the filmer not getting low enough/not pointing upwards enough during your lines this is one of the gnarliest parts I’ve ever seen in my life . By far my favorite of the last decade maybe even if we can’t see the top half of your body .

I don't recall seeing Cookie when Peace came out. I distinctly remember that happening because I was very excite to see his part, especially after hearing I think it was Torey or maybe someone else saying that Cookie was crafting this masterpiece part for the upcoming Element video.
