For many, many years, I have been saying, it would be really nice to see the Original Enterprise get filmed exactly like the movie Enterprise with the self-illumination and dramatic angles! Well, last night, RU-vid gave me this video and I was absolutely blown away!! This was amazing! I can't believe this has been out for seven + years! I always thought the 1st Enterprise was the BEST Enterprise. The people who redid the TV show effects could learn a lot from this video. The angles were breathtaking! Great job, PonyHorton and kudos for also having some fun, too!!!!
If someone had told me when I was young and watch TOS that I'd see this on something called the internet on something called RU-vid using something called a personal computer, I'd have said something to them related to the funny farm. Now, I just sit back and smile. I love Roddenberry trek.
I don't care if it's 11 years old, still one of my favorite fan films. Dead sexy glamor shots (too good to be called beauty shots),The easter eggs are the decorative icing especially the Jar Jar-prise in the scrap yard, all with more personality than anything craped out by the big budgets at paramount to date.
I like how when the gantry is pulling away you can see a crease in the skin of the ship just like with navy ships today,..Just adds that touch of realism to the ol' girl :)
I really love seeing the warp drives come on. The effect showing the activation of the spinning rotors was great. And the look of the impulse engines was fantastic.
Watching this when it's a little over six years old--still awesome. More Easter eggs than....well, something with a ton of Easter eggs lolz. Love the Space:1999 Eagle, among many, many others.
That little film was a very surprisingly well made film and a pleasant little surprise to stumble across and I LOVE the oh crap moment at the ends hehe.
OMG Tim Russ was in it! And that bit at the end with the lunar module on top of the captains table... great touch👍 especially when it took off! Nearly wet myself laughing! ‘Oh crap!!’ 😂😂😂
Loved the easter eggs, especially from "Space 1999". This film has such a ..... "Fallout 4" feeling to it with the sign shapes and such. It looks like the film's quality gets better as it goes on.
