Erik Aguilar clearly there are different regulations depending on where you are in the world but in Canada you only where gloves while handling raw meat
wow that would be a crazy lot of gloves then, when i worked at mcdonalds i had to do like 100 burgers in a shift for example, but you can only put 9 at the same time on 1 grill..... that means you have to use 18 pair of gloves according to your glove regulation............. :o i only used 1 pair of gloves put fresh ones on everytime when i was baking , but also washing your hands a lot.... in the netherlands a lot of restaurants the chefs are cooking with bare hands......
Most stuff is similar. Corporate makes things similar for many reasons. I guess you could move to the U.S. and start working at McDonald's straight-away. The main difference you'll need to worry about is driving on the other side of the road. ;)
Mike Mac Are you kidding me? He's preparing the food with no gloves on. How do you think people get sick? You don't know where his hands have been. It's unsanitary. Hence the reason it's junk food. What are hand wash stations good for when workers don't use them?
Mike Mac And I didn't notice him using one. Why are you excusing him? He should've worn gloves even if he washed his hands, which it seems as if he didn't.
Big question, which do you prefer someone who washes hands after everything in hot water and soap for 20 seconds, or someone who wears gloves but rarely washes hands..but does change gloves sometimes, such as when it rips... pretty sure the naked hands would be more safe in my opinion....depends on management enforcement when it comes down to cleanliness i guess
Tommy Suong in our restaurant wearing a blue shirt is for crew trainers. they are there to uphold the ideals set by the management team and food standards of each nation in Australia because of our strict food standards we are forced to wear clear gloves when coming in contact with any food and to wear a blue glove over the top of the clear gloves when touching raw products. because of the food standers Australian Mcdonalds is the best
Cool Star23 it’s literally the same thing here in the us, it’s just that this dumbass wasnt wearing gloves nor did anybody care that he wasn’t wearing gloves.
Lmao this is funny af. But everyone is okay if “chefs” aren’t wearing gloves because they are not fast foods. Wash your hands often! That’s all it takes to keep a clean and food safe working station. None of these wasted plastic fucking gloves that serve 0 protection against anything but cause more contamination than anything because workers do tend to wash their hands less when they wear gloves. That’s a fact!
All McDonalds reasturants have different rules, just because he's doing something different then what you do at your McDonalds doesn't mean he's doing it wrong. I've worked at 3 different McDonald's and their rules are completely different from eachother, especially the privately owned ones from the corporate owned ones.
***** It's not the LAW to wear gloves, at least not in some states. That's a misconception. Plus gloves can get contaminated/dirty just as easily as ungloved hands. They're really no safer
that grill looks nasty man..... i have worked in the mcdonalds kitchen 16 years ago... i always cleaned the grill after a few rounds, very easy with a special scraper and some water and a towel...................those grills can be clean within 20 seconds..... wtf is this man 1:20 edit; it had to be cleaned after every round if i remember it well, otherwise you get black pieces in the next patties
Personally I don’t think gloves were as enforced as they are now or after covid. I bet his burgers probably slapped. When I worked fast food, they wanted blue gloves to drop & white gloves at the table. It was okay to drop meat with no gloves as long as you kept washing your hands consistently
Jumpman haha, lol I totally forgot about this comment. To sum it up, not so good, I worked there for 8 months and got into some drama with a girl and my coworkers so I told my boss that I’ve had enough of the bs and quit. Managers yelling at me constantly, while always relying on me in the kitchen, just an absolute shit show. Another thing is that we were understaffed at the time so some days they had only me on grill, fryer, and even assembly sometimes.
yep lol don't really mind on what I'm doing I'm still getting money I always think people have a way worse situation than what I am in and it's not that bad working there lolz have a good day and enjoy your meal! ;D
GaveYouADislike Whats wrong with him being proud of having a job....I know quite a few people who don't have jobs and won't work there cause its beneath them. Im glad you are happy with your job, MrVold3mort
Because he got permission and having drinks at the assembly line isn't a health violation. If you listened it said he's doing it for a project just for fun.
Actually, In Great Britain, they do not wear gloves either. For one thing people are allergic to latex gloves. Also, In Britain, they do not wear gloves because people (especially americans) think that "If you wear gloves, and you sneeze, it's okay to cover you're mouth with the glove, because you are wearing gloves." Food safety is a very interesting topic, and I recommend researching it more
HAHAHA yes. America's security theatrics. I need to get out of America one day. I can't stand most people and their ridiculous logic here. :( (Sorry America but I really feel this way and it hurts.)
I was thinking the same thing before I read the comments: no gloves, and a kid dancing around in the kitchen. These employees that allowed this to happen should be fired on the spot.
I work at the busiest McDonald's in my state and it's not even close to this McDonald's. We must wear clear gloves at all times when handling food and when handling raw food we put on a separate pair of blue gloves that are disposed of right away. This guy wasn't wearing gloves because he's a douche, and it was slow and he doesn't care to follow the rules.
It's not a good procedure. You should to used blue gloves when you lay the patty. And you don't have clear gloves as well when you prepare the sand wich also use red tong for the beef patty. You should be confident also if you are in charge of the assembler. .tq
Sadly I got fired from my tyrannical GM that treats us like slave robots. The managers get paid even more shitty paychecks which is why I never stepped up. We work our asses off on such little pay, so stressful that three of our employees ended up in the hospital because of hypertension from the job.
to the people wondering why hes not wearing gloves just letting you know not all mcdonalds do that. my mcdonalds wears gloves for everything except delivering the food.
In france there are more sanitary norms. Meat is directly put in the burgers and not in a rack that no one have time to wash more than once a day. Cheese is stored on the fridge or used in a little amount of time. Touching anything that is not food including the little shelf door under the working table (which we dont have) requires the washing of your hands. And no one is allowed in the kitchen exept for the cooks. Gloves are not a pretext to be dirty.
If you don't have time to wash the trays that are used for the meat, you are either slaking off immensely or you just suck at your job. Not to mention the fact you have over 50-70 trays in a store clean at any given time.
I've been working at McDonald's for 2 months now in the kitchen and If we made the orders without having gloves on we would be in the biggest trouble of all. The customers can literally see us making their orders. You all literally violated many health codes and that's a easy way to get an F for a Sanitation rating.
Why is it so difficult for people to understand that every city, county, province/state, country, etc has different health regulations? My restaurant (I was a swing manager) only required blue gloves for handling raw products, no gloves on table and gloves and a bandaid when you have something going on with your hand. If you guys are going to freak out about him not wearing gloves I guess you should research your healthboard regulations for restaurants before every single time you go out to eat 😂😂😂 if you are that paranoid about people wearing gloves go eat something at home.
You are not required to wear gloves on the table, but you are suppose to clean your hands every hour. Health and Safety regulations demand it, as well as the SOC from Mcdonalds it self.
Nice to see how they don’t wear gloves when touching your food all while touching everything in the kitchen and cross contaminating everything in sight
As a Mcd worker in 2020 . I’m so pissed I’m seeing this unfold before my eyes . I’m not even there for a year and I’m seeing so many things that’s just against food safety . Jesus. Got to say doe . Wish we had the cool meal bags they had back then
Bro. That guy is a manager and is half assing everything. He handles the food with disrespect and uses no gloves. He is slow as shit I would have had all that done within 30 seconds!!
Ok so many questions Why the shit does he not have gloves on? Why is there a kid behind the counter drinking a soda? Why is his grill so dirty? Why TF are UHC timers not being used? Why did he not season the meat? Instant termination at my store
that's one reason I don't eat fast food. dude was handling a lot of food but not once did he put any gloves on. his procedures is not near McDonald's standards.
Gemma McGall actually you have to wear white/clear gloves to prepare food.. Like what he is doing but you wear blue gloves to prepare patty's and chicken nugget's
Kassandra Bernardino not in the UK. In the UK its clear gloves for salads and adding shake/sundae mix, blue polythene for cracking eggs and blue melt resistance ones for laying meat. Other than that you don't use gloves only the appropriate tongs and your hands.
I have orientation for the job on Monday. Do you have any tips that I can possibly learn before actually working there? I'm nervous af and have never worked in fast food.
People wondering about the no gloves Some McDonald’s don’t use gloves unless the person has an wound because it’s more cleaner to wash your ah Da after everything then to touch something with the gloves and then touch the burger
My first job was at a Taco Bell. We never described what we did preparing the food as "cooking." It was more like preparing the different ingredients (meat, beans, tomatoes, etc.) as fast as we can, so the animals (customers) can be fed at their feeding stations. :/
a mcdonalds by my house looks so much worse in the kitchen. took a look back there once at midnight waiting for someone to give me a straw and it looked like a methlab. ill never eat there again.
Either way it’s still a health code violation. Doesn’t matter who the foods being served to you must wear gloves. He was touching all of the cheese on that stack with his bare hands.
I know you’re not supposed to have drinks in the kitchen but honestly my manager didn’t care cause we worked the overnight shift and we had to have coffee to function right
Isn't McD's procedure to make only two burgers at a time and not leave them sitting on the assembly table to get cold? You don't make them until you have meat. Your cheese is also not centered, making for a very sloppy burger. Former manager here.
Of course gloves are supposed to be worn. Some people on "table" (where sandwiches are made) don't wear them unless the manager sees and gets onto them. 😂 Most everyone does at my McDonald's though.
Like John said, this is allllll wrong. Not cleaning grill, didn't season the meat, did not change UHC liner, cross contamination with the tongs, and using cheese that wasn't tempered. Also, you wrapped the sandwiches wrong. Yikes.
Everybody in the comments like "he would be fired at my McDonald's" and "not at the McDonald's I work would he do that.." 🙄🙄 Chill...you know y'all McDonald's be dirty too.. 🤣🤣
I worked at a store with more 1 star ratings than 5 stars, and we still keep the place in order. Staff shortages and rowdy customers don't exactly help with the ratings. I had a heart attack watching this.
