I could eat Loquats for days. If you have space in your garden, I highly recommend growing a tree. If you're a fan of plums and apricots etc. you will enjoy Loquats.

It's loquat. I have a loquat in my back yard here in Alabama. They're delicious. Sweet, and a little tart. Tastes like a cross between apricot and pineapple.
Loquats grow here in the SW USA as well. I have a small sapling that I'm trying to baby through the intense heat. Hopefully someday it will produce fruit and I can make delicious food with it
