Every Ehiopian growing watching Tia and Tamera thought you guys were Ethiopian or Eritrean. It's crazy how much you guys look like a typical habesha. Loved this video💗
Typical Habesha?😂😂😂 They can pass for Ethiopian. Habesha can look like a lot of things because many claim to be Habesha in Ethiopia, even when they're not.
Is the meat cooked or is it raw with seasoning? I'm just asking because generally we don't raw meat (red meat) because of the impurities from the meat.
@@nbscorpio3 It is similar to French dish beef tartar. Different Spices, spiced butter and special red Chilli powder also spiced are added to it. Mostly, home made cheese similar to feta cheese goes with it. Very yummy. It's raw from very fresh grass fed high quality meat, some people get it rare or medium done. Google it there are about 15 raw meat dishes around the world. Adventure begins at the end of our comfort zone.
Ethiopian food is supreme. I went to a two wedding recently and I asked for the food info because I knew I would want it again. It’s truly the best African food.
😂😂😂you haven’t tried Ethiopian food mate calm down Ghanaian food is just any other African food brother nothing wrong just be truthful Ethiopian food is a lane of it’s own can’t compare it truthfully not even Indian or Mexican food or middle eastern can compare it’s just like I said it’s own thing. It’s the food of all our Islamic/Christian prophets which the same but just clarifying.
Thank you Tia for having Genet in your show. She is a representation of most Ethiopian mom's, loving, caring and always feel proud of their sons and daughters.
Would be lying 'Sisrer sister' was part of Ethiopian house hold show? My Dad used to watch it with us. Such wholesome show! We felt they were part of us😂
I knew the comment section would be like this. lol I get mistaken as Ethiopian everyday…. I think Tia and family might have Fulani ancestry since I do. That’s most likely their origin . I agree though they do look Ethiopian…
FOR 25 YEARS I HAVE BEEN SAYING THAT TIA AND TAMERA ARE DEFINITELY HABESHA... I KNEW THEY TECHNICALLY ARE NOT OF ETHIOPIAN HERITAGE BUT THEY CERTAINLY HAVE THE LOOK.
I've had the pleasure to eat at her restaurant many times while living in LA. She always comes out to her tables and speaks to her guests. Her food is a blessing. I love her 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Tia you and ur sis Tamera are so sweet and supportive specially for small community that we don’t have sound . Tia much love from Ethiopian love u girl 😍

The " Gursha " sign of love , being a family being whole together, sign of ever thing! Ethiopia ❤ no words to say about the cultures and the kindness of special peoples
Tia, I grew up watching you and your sister Tamera on “Sister Sister”. I haven’t watched this video yet, but as a proud Ethiopian I had to quickly post my comment. We, Ethiopians and Eritreans adore you and your entire family. I can’t wait to watch this video. BTW, my kids adore you. They binge watched Sister Sister, and rewatched all the episodes so many times. I heard Tamera mention in one of her interviews, that a little girl recognized her at Dr’s office while watching Sister Sister. Don’t be surprised “Sister Sister” will be remembered for multi generations❤
That's amazing! It's wonderful to see Ethiopian cuisine featured on your show. As an Ethiopian, I was so happy to see our delicious food showcased to the world. I hope you get a chance to try "Shekela Tibs" and "Dirkosh Quanta Firfir" next time you're in Ethiopia.
Tia with her sister all looks like ethiopian, including their behaviors, characters, believes, and looks(smile, skin color, hair texture, beauty..) all ethiopian
I love you Tia. You are such a vibrant and a fun woman. Now I love you even more for inviting Genet and liking our food. You resemble us, I always see myself in you and your family 💖
Tia, I'm from Ethiopia and I have a story to tell you, I was in Texas years ago and someone stopped me thinking if I was you and I never been so flatterd
Watching you fan girl is too funny 😂😂. I love Ethiopian food and am so excited to have this video saved so I can make it this weekend 💜. Thank you so much for this!
Sweet! That’s so inspiring Tia! This episode reminds me of this Ethiopian restaurant I went to in Washington DC for a friend’s birthday party. I live on the East Coast and people come here from different parts of the world to live.
Oh my God… ! I can’t believe Tia, you got to cook with Genet! She is the queen of Chefs! I am Ethiopian and I never had food like hers! I worked for her long time ago when she had Restaurant in San Francisco! I remember I was devastated and have been searching for her for a long time after she closed down. It is so honored to see her again! Now I know, I’m so gonna look for her when I go to LA! I can’t wait to tell everyone 🤗😆😍so excited!!! Thank you Tia! I love you 💕 😊

Tia looks gorgeous! Love her hair and pretty dress. Loved the video and watching Genet cook, it was a work of art watching her do her thing. Very curious what that dish tastes like, looks good lol.
Im glad to see this cause I always thought the twins looked Ethiopian. They share so many beautiful distinct features with a lot them, especially Tia. So it's cool to see her do this, and cool to see Ethiopians in the comments feel that way.
Thank you Tia for the video, loved it!!!❤❤❤😍😍😍, and Genet- god bless you and your hand, not only the food but the way you presented Ethiopia and the culture is wonderful. Elegant lady!

Ya, she will pass for a Habesha but I knew she wasn't from the way she forces a laughter and the way she shows the inside of her mouth when she laughs. Love her and her Sis❤

Tia, you're so sweet. I have always loved watching you and Tamara. I'm very glad you like the food. Please ask Mama Genet to cook 'Barley GeAt' because it's my favourite mom's dish.
I thought Tia & Tamara were from Ethiopia because they look like my sisters. I was wrong. Then, I saw a thumbnail of this video Tia with Ethiopian mother, Genet, my eyes widened. It is good to see Tia with Genet cooking delicious Ethiopian food.
