I have made your blackberry bars twice. Once for myself and then for a friend that had surgery. Delicious. I did reduce the flour a little and added a little chia seeds, flax meal and hemp hearts. I appreciate that you cook healthy, but not with weird ingredients, if you know what I mean.
Hi Elizabeth-I absolutely adore your channel and have made tons of your recipes! I need to spend some time this week commenting on all the ones I’ve made! They have made me enjoy cooking for the first time since childhood and have given me a much better understanding for my body and healthy food. so grateful to have found your channel and look forward to continuing on your journey and making many more delicious meals and treats! by the way, was looking at your quick links for staple kitchen items and i was hoping to find out what kind of spoons/utensils you use? I need a new set (my wood ones were pretty cheap) and truly trust your judgement!
Oh my gosh, my mouth was watering while you were cooking that shrimp and mushroom pasta. I'm definitely going to the store for those ingredients. Thanks for sharing all of these great recipes 😊
Honestly, the way I have found to clean leaks is to soak in a big bowl and let the grit settle to the bottom then gently lift the leaks out. Just rinsing them never seems to get them clean. The water from the soak then goes to water plants like herbs or my garden.
I have noticed that you don't eat a lot of pasta. Is there a reason behind it? I am learning and retraining myself to eat whole foods, more veggies. I would love to hear your ideas. I love your channel and have been watching old videos too
This might be a dumb question but If you use raw sugar and molasses would it still be refined? I wasn’t sure if you meant just normal sugar and molasses? Thanks so much for all your knowledge! I enjoy your videos so much! 🤗
That’s a great question! Extra virgin olive oil is great for using raw or low temps and avocado oil is great for raw or high temps - just make sure it says “cold pressed” that means it’s unrefined and “raw” extracted. Coconut oil is also good if you like the taste 😋
Hi Elizabeth, I love cooking fresh and healthy food for my family too, I'm doing the sourdough starter for the first time following your instructions. I threw away all the discarded starter when was time to feed it. Do you save the discarded ones for other recipes ? Do you keep in the fridge? Sorry, I'm a little confused.
I want to start growing leeks too . I’ve never tried them, but this recipe looks amazing. A lot of my UK garden channels grow them , so definitely need to try❤️ beautifully done Elizabeth
Um, I have some chickpea spaghetti, mushrooms, garlic, and herbs waiting to be used 😍 I think I’m going to try that seafood pasta for dinner tonight! Thank you for the inspiration!! I think I’ll be adding some raw heavy cream as well- we love our creamy sauces in our home 😅😅
@@healthyelizabeth wanted to come back and say that we made this last night and it was an incredible hit for everyone!! All 4 of my kids loved it and 3 of them got seconds 😆 thanks again!
I’d love a link for the bulk jars (the fennel was in one) thank you!! The pan you cooked the mushrooms in, is that Staub? I’ve bought numerous Staub pieces from your links❤
@@healthyelizabeth I love that I can find so many kitchen ideas from your vlogs! And I’ve made so many of your recipes! I’ve made accommodations for them to be GFDF and all have turned out 😋 yummy
OMGoodness! I can almost taste that soup and especially the pasta shrimp dish! I’m trying to grow leeks this year. And shallots! I’m so excited about everything that is growing now but still need to get more started! I need the rain to slow down here because I can’t do much outside with all the rain we’re having and all the pollen! Great video Elizabeth! More goodies to try! ❤❤❤
@@healthyelizabeth They’re coming up…..I didn’t say they were shallots yet! LOL! I’m hoping my timing will be good to get at least a few! I’m so excited! My leeks are up too….I really hope this works! We shall see……❤️
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful videos of the nourishing meals you make for your family! I really like the style of your kitchen, too! I’m wondering where you got your ceramic blueberry strainer as well as your blue flowered electrical wall plates? Also, I’m curious where you were trained as a Holistic Nutritionist? Thank you for continuing to inspire us to create delicious, healthy meals.
You can definitely substitute! I would cook something like cod in the skillet with the mushrooms, then remove the fish, toss the pasta in the sauce and top with the cooked fish so it’s doesn’t fall apart in the pasta. Just an idea!
@@healthyelizabethoh wow I’ve never heard of pink salts giving headaches!! Is redmonds real salt considered a pink? I use it all the time and I struggle with headaches. Ty. Something to research.
